First clear bid "stealer"
St. Mary's upsets #1 Gonzaga 60-47. St. Mary's was on the wrong side of the bubble. Hopefully, that will knock out some mediocre SEC or Big 10 team.

You're right. The way the committee operates it very well could bump a highly ranked midmajor.
