Well if Mick makes good on the football team try outs, might as well.

BC#1 Hot Take:
If Mick is adamant about holding tryouts for football players for the team, maybe we can replace him with Coach Fick? Fair is fair, right? Fick couldn't do any worse in March, so why not?

Does this make you feel better or something? Like why do you guys waste your time here if you're going to do nothing but complain?

Why can't I have an opinion? A thread was posted, I answered the question. You don't have to click in here.

btw, Micky boy is the one who sat and ran his yap about try outs with the football team...which was completely stupid. Take it up with him...

It’s a message board, right? You might want to check out a Cartel 5 school board after a big loss. This board is child’s play compared to a school with a large fanbase.

Should they "skip" the tournament?

Of course not.

But you are crazy if you have any expectation that they will make it out of the 8/9 game they will draw.

Just sayin'...

Should the CATS skip the NCAA tourney?
I think it would be more reasonable for some on this board to just skip the NCAA tournament. They seem to think the Cats belong in the NIT after a tough week.

This is so unbelievably true. Things are tame here compared to basically every P5 school's site after a loss.

Lol UK fans have a thread about firing Cal after every loss and have been belly aching about how his recruiting has slipped a little bit, not even exaggerating. Kansas and Duke boards are pretty similar regarding Self and Coach K, but not as bad.

Simply put, this is a top 10-15 program and the consensus with much of our fanbase is that we should be a top 10-15 program most years. Under Mick we have been closer to the 25-35 range and the current trajectory seems to indicate that we will not be moving into that group in the near future. Hopefully this is proven wrong, as it is pretty obvious there won't be a change made any time soon. Most likely we will remain where we are are.

Eh, that sounds nice and all, but try actually listing programs by that breakout (i.e. top 5, 6-10, 11-15, etc. all the way down to 25-35 to use your categories) and I think you'll find UC beats a lot of those you think exist in those better groups in quite a few categories. Just about every program has their ups and downs even in the last decade. In fact, I'm guessing you'll have a hard time finding 24, much less 34 programs ahead of ours by any reasonable standard (i.e. not one that gives crazy bonus points for a single or rare tourney run over the last 15 years or so). 66-17 over the last 3 seasons playing in the AAC is going to rank pretty high even as adjusted for schedule if you value recent performance over the good old days.
