Whatabout?????? You can't stay on point, ever. This has nothing to do with Trump as badly as you wish to make it so. Go troll under a bridge somewhere.

Olivia Jade Giannulli in September last year posted sponsored content on Instagram for Amazon Prime, featuring a photo of her in her new dorm room at the University of Southern California with the caption: “Officially a college student! It’s been a few weeks since I moved into my dorm and I absolutely love it. I got everything I needed from Amazon with @primestudent and had it all shipped to me in just two-days.”
Loughlin was among dozens of people busted Tuesday for allegedly paying bribes to get their kids into top colleges.
Court documents allege she and her husband, designer Mossimo Giannulli, “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC.”
Before Olivia Jade went off to college in 2018, she generated controversy by posting to her popular YouTube channel that she didn’t “really care about school” but wanted the “experience” of “partying.”

NBC and ABC report that actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin are among at least 40 people charged in the case.
Laughlin is best known for her role in “Full House” and Huffman for her role in “Desperate Housewives.”
The racketeering conspiracy charges unveiled Tuesday were brought against the coaches at schools including Wake Forest University, Georgetown and the University of Southern California.
Authorities say the coaches accepted bribes in exchange for admitting students as athletes, regardless of their ability.
Prosecutors say parents paid an admissions consultant $25 million from 2011 through Feb. 2019 to bribe coaches and administrators to label their children as recruited athletes to boost their chances of getting into schools.
Liberal institutions all! Some from the PAC, ACC, and Big 12. So far nobody named from the SEC, Big 10 or AAC.
But if there is one thing liberals have always preyed upon it is privilege. I wonder how many scholarship needing minorities were bumped for the shine of Hollywood brats?
You're going to regret that comment - then again, most of your comments are laughable.
You do realize the main guy taking all the tests for people is the director of college entrance exam preparation at IMG Academy? Here are the colleges IMG Academy kids signed with in football alone this past year - Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Alabama, Texas, Miami, Illinois, Rutgers, Northwestern, Syracuse, Tennessee, etc., etc., etc.
Now granted, not every recruit out of IMG Academy is having this guy take his tests for him. But you might just want to wait out some of your anti-liberal bias just a bit before you begin to look too foolish. Okay??

Sad but this has been going on forever, perhaps a bit different but end result is the same:
Parent make a donation to the university kids get admitted..same thing. Lets get those folks as well.

Is it just me or would one think that if you were going to drop a half a million dollar bribe to get your kids into school you'd pick somewhere a little higher on the totem pole than USC. For that kind of money I'd be aiming at Duke, Stanford, Vandy, Northwestern.....

Yeah but that isn't illegal, and I really don't think the federal government should be putting people in jail for that.
"When Felicity Huffman opened the door to her Los Angeles home at 6 a.m. Tuesday, she was met by FBI agents with their guns drawn, according a source familiar with the incident....
Laura Eimiller, an FBI spokeswoman, said the FBI did not use a a tactical team to arrest Huffman. “But all FBI agents are armed and may draw their weapons as a precautionary measured based on the circumstances during the execution of any warrant,” she added.
A source said that Huffman and other defendants had word in recent days that they might face arrest...."
Note that Loughlin is turning herself in.

I would think it might be at a public university, but not a private university. Either way, slots are being taken by those not deserving from a academic standpoint.

Even though the #CollegeScam people were all liberals, I am against them being “Roger Stone” style arrested.

I’m not. They were likely trying to escape the reality of the perception they bought their kids’ into universities instead of the kids earning it like the rest of us. Would’ve been to easy for a mosey reporter to identify donor money with the family.
Likewise, we all know a certain Obama child who certainly didn’t get into Harvard based on academics or sports.

Its perfectly legal in most if not all states. Whether it should be is another question, but there is no law in any state that I am aware of.
Bloomberg seems surprised by this. I guess they are blind that the left wing they support has never had any morals other than winning.
In this case, those charged are mostly wealthy Americans of high social status <i.e. mostly Democrats>, not gangsters. They probably thought of themselves as law-abiding Americans, with exceptions so minor as to be negligible. In other words, this case illustrates what a low opinion America has of its system of higher education. As a university professor, I would feel much better if it had been mobsters charged with these alleged crimes.
Another hypocrisy has to do with using legal donations to get into a prestigious college. Universities are loath to admit the details, but if you give a few million dollars to a top school, your children will be given very favorable admissions consideration. More generally, the advantages of coming from a wealthy, well-educated, “upstanding” family are extreme. Some colleges have more students from the top 1 percent than from the bottom 60, in terms of income.
That kind of unbalanced enrollment isn’t mainly because of donations, but still it seems unfair, a sign that a particular kind of early head start is being valued too highly. Which brings me to one final hypocrisy: These inegalitarian results are tolerated, even engineered, by the very same American institutions that pride themselves on their supposedly egalitarian values."

I doubt it would be illegal at a public university. Admissions people probably have various criteria they use and money donated by parents can be used to give financial aid to those who are not well off. If a kid's test scores are god awful there might be an issue. State universities often give preference to out of state and foreign students because they charge a much higher tuition to those students, which certainly does benefit state residents that are applying.

Will she still be shilling in her infomercials to pay her legal fees?
maybe she got her daughter a couple of Trapper keepers, you know, for school:
