I think it should be at a neutral site, roughly equidistant from all the schools.

Billings, Montana fits the bill nicely.

Surprised Judy doesn't suggest moving it to the Bahamas to get herself and staff along with family a vacation on the conference's pocketbook.

RE: 2020 & 2021 CUSA Basketball Championships
TWO?--TWO more years!!! One would have been sufficient punishment.

Reminds me of the old Kung Fu movie pilot. The blind old master Po was struck TWICE by the emperor nephew's imperial guard when he failed to yield in the path. His response was-- "Even a member of the imperial guard should not punish an old, blind man twice for the same offense". The young, arrogant nephew then shot Master Po. In a fit of rage Kwai Chang Caine throws a spear and kills the nephew. He has to flee China to the U.S. and thus the TV series begins.

I hope they release the financial information that will convince us why hosting a championship game in an empty football arena, let alone the AAU set up in the opening rounds, is a good idea and considered "very successful" according to our commissioner.

Definitely a head-scratcher. It's laughable that CUSA leadership is calling last year's tournament "very successful." 03-lmfao

it's called self preservation and incompetence....

Or Frisco offered more. May suck from a fan point of view, but if they're offering the most $$$, it's hard to turn them down.

This. Money talks.

Honestly, if it's not going to get decent crowds no matter what, you might as well put the thing in the Bahamas. I'm sure Atlantis has two ballrooms. At least the kids get nice vacations out of the deal.

We do have two schools located in South Florida. I wouldn't expect great attendance there but **** it, whoever goes will have fun.

Two immediate reasons come to mind...
1)City of Frisco fancies itself as sports destination and has done a top notch job at that with one notable exception (that I won’t go into here since it concerns an Olympic sport not a spectator sport)
-Rough Riders AA baseball
-FC Dallas Major League Soccer
-Cowboys practice facility and HQ
-Dallas Stars Hockey satellite facility

2) The Star would likely like to bid for larger conference tournaments. If they can find the concept over four years with CUSA they could bid for Big12 or AAC.

Those reasons are about the equivalent of bragging about driving a Dodge Neon RT.

How is the Arena in Biloxi? Would Biloxi be an option? (obviously in the future)
I've been to the baseball tournament down there and there is a lot to do plus there is the beach and the city does a great job for baseball.
I drove so im not sure about flight options.

Biloxi has been discussed before on this board. Personally, I think it’d be great.

Nowhere to put the women's games in Biloxi, except local high schools. Don't see why we couldn't host the women in Hattiesburg, and men in Biloxi, but it's 2 hours apart.

Is the Convention space next to the Arena not big enough to host a few of the women's opening round games before moving them to the arena for the rest? I mean it would have to set up AAU style but lets be honest....we already have AAU style in Frisco

They could do the women’s games at the Biloxi Parks and Rec.
