Biggest problem with Memphis resume is all the big wins are home wins.

4-11 in Q1 and Q2 games. 3 of those 4 at home. The only win away from home is @Wichita (Q2)

Even with a win today, that still leaves them with 1 quality road win

Thats offset a bit by the overall SOS. Especially against other bubble teams.

Same goes for all those P5 bubble teams, who had more opportunities for quality road wins.

Texas only has 1 quality road win (at Kansas State).

NC State's best road win is at Boston College!

Certainly and likely are not terms I would be describing any at-large situation for Memphis.

Temple still has a very legit chance. Maybe not quite 50/50 but at least 40/60.

But if they’d won last night, they’d be a lock.

Texas and NC State should NOT be in the field.

I agree. But we know what will happen if a Big 12/ACC team has a similar resume to an AAC team.

My gut is that the American has 4 bids regardless. Temple is in if Houston or Cinci win the tournament. The committee wouldn't be caught dead giving the American 5 bids.

I really hope Temple gets in. It would actually help next year’s preseason conference buzz and could affect preseason rankings for at least three teams.

See the AAC is getting more respect than most of ya'll thought. Just relax and be thankful you're in a power conference!

Must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. Even had Clark Kellogg predict Houston going to the final four.

So the correct answer was?

No.

It was always no.

Good job, great talk. Let's go ahead and lock this thread down.

See you all next week. I'll be counting Tulsa's 7% of every game credit. So just win baby, cause we need a new coach.
