Left on the bus at 2am from Phoenix, ironically transferred in Riverside (sorry CBU) to the Vegas route, made it in time for SU game. Was going to head back tonight but had enough fun I'm gonna stick around for round 2!

I was the one with the SU banner. No need for that tomorrow, though.

Tough way to end the season for SU but that's a rare matchup of two talented teams for round 1. 17-5 when healthy, I think this team would have finished second in the WAC without disaster of injuries. But everyone comes back next year, deeper roster too.

Some good news is in brief chat I had tonight with AD Shaney Fink, there will be an announcement of some sort on Seattle U on-campus arena this May. Hopefully positive

Great meeting you yesterday, brutha. Loved seeing Chicago St fans in the building. I think many would agree that we can't wait to see how things look once Coach Irvin gets his guys and system fully in place.

Refs absolutely impact games. Refs don’t cost you games. Where’s your assessment on the shots you missed, the offensive rebounds you gave up, missed defensive assignments, turnovers, poor shot selections, etc. That’s how games are won/lost.

Utah Valley was not called for a foul the last 14 minutes. Hard to make shots or get rebounds when no rules apply to other team.

I mean is not just the refs. The WAC didn't put UMKC in their official bracket. It just said #7 seed. They left out Kareem in the commercial with all the coaches. We are still waiting for the tournament in Kansas City. Over the years, these things add up to a UMKC bias. The WAC office appears to be disrespectful to UMKC.

I am ready for UMKC to make the right decision and stop wasting time and $ in the WAC.

Whatever promises Hurd made to UMKC are his promises. Not the WAC's. Every year, sometimes two, it is voted on where the WAC the tournament is held. UMKC has the oppertunity to host the WAC tournament, but the votes don't go their way.

You guys are just not very good. That is what Dr. Brandon Martin is trying to fix. Look at your men's athletic programs. You don't have football. You don't have baseball. Your basketball team has never made the NCAA tournament. Your men's soccer program is at the bottom of the WAC every season.

What was the UMKC basketball team good at this season? In D1 basketball, where there are 353 teams, UMKC was #345 in rebounding this season. They were #265 in scoring (points per game). They were #224 in points allowed per game. Eleven of your 21 losses were by double digits. UMKC started the season of with an opening game blowout loss to Loyola of Chicago, 76-45, which led to an 0-6 start. The refs cannot rebound, shoot and play defense for you guys.

It doesn't really matter where the WAC Tournament is played, you guys are not winning it. Not unless your basketball team improves. Even if UMKC joined the Summit, the tournament is in Sioux Falls, South Dakota every year. By the way, a Dakota school has won the Summit post-season tournament 8 years in a row.

The Summit is not that good, but you guys could not win there, either. Last season, South Dakota State played you in Kansas City and won 85-60. This season you went on the road to play them and you lost 75-47. Let's face it, you guys have a bad basketball program. Hopefully, Dr. Martin can change that.

Good points. UMKC needs to work on its luck. As it is consistently below 200. It needs more than 8 players when another team in conference has 12.

UMKC was 0-9 in the Pacific Time Zone this year.

It was 11-12 everywhere else.

So maybe don't travel so much to the West Coast as the travel takes its toll, is expensive and the refs are ?.

I would prefer a move, but if not UMKC needs to find a coach that can win the softness of West Coast Basketball and can play the foul game amazingly well.

You call it soft but you’re the only one crying that the refs aren’t calling fouls. Which is it?

Just when I'm ready to turn off the UTRGV-NMSU game, the Vaqueros cut a 19 point deficit to 3.
The madness has arrived.

PS. NMSU gets the lead back to 11, UTRGV whittles it down to 4 points under 1 minute. Aggies hang on and win by 7.
Aggies get an extra 12 points in the paint and an extra 12 points from outside the arc.

I hope he gets a new horn for the games. That is literally the most annoying buzzer in basketball history. Must have gotten it off a 1985 Yugo.

Carlos Johnson has 21 at haftime for GCU. He is on fire! He scored 31 last night against Seattle. Unfortunately, UVU leads 44-40. Johnson is going to need some help if GCU is going to get past UVU.

Carlos used a monster one handed slam dunk to break his previous career high of 31 points (set during yesterday’s game). Glad he started playing to his potential as the season progressed.

Happy that GCU got to the 20 win mark finally. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s game!

Roo says "UMKC was 0-9 in the Pacific Time Zone this year"

Schedule says http://www.umkckangaroos.com/SportSelect...PSID=89987

They didn't even play 9 games in Pacific Time. They played 6 by my count.

Fyi, here is the map of Pacific Time https://www.ustimezonesmap.com/images/20...ne-Map.jpg

Ok UMKC was 11-10 in the Central Time Zone with a harder Strength of Schedule. 0-11 everywhere else. 9-10 if you don't include Chicago St.
