mbb vs Ohio
Monday on ESPN+ about 8pm central

NET rank NIU 145 Ohio 169
KenPom NIU 139 Ohio 173

Huskies won in OT at Ohio and won 71 - 60 in DeKalb. Both teams are both 3 - 7 since their last meeting, but both come off wins. Ohio does not shoot threes that well averaging 6.2 for 20.5 or 30.1% per contest.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, pretty good match-up for us, however....I don't have a lot of faith that NIU is a team that can beat another team 3 times in a season. But I also didn't think they'd get a home game, so let them win 4 and dance.

Huskies have won 2 in a row.... with the way the season's gone, we're due for a loss.

RE: mbb vs Ohio
Can NIU squeeze out a 1200 attendance or is it sub 1000. I don't know what the announced attendance was in Ball State, but I had the chance to attend Friday and it was better than I expected attendance. Just a really nice basketball experience in Muncie with the amenities of Worthen. They even had live music on the concourse, which I would not push for at the Convo as I found it a little tacky (but I do appreciate the effort made by Ball State). It almost was like if you took the Convo and squashed it inward and thus expanding it upward. Very steep viewing angles makes you feel close to the action, I love stadiums like that.

Something else that struck me was the story behind their senior Moses. Just an absolutely all around great great person. I saw him in warmups playing around with some young Cardinal fans on the sidelines and then in the senior night ceremony seeing two Down Syndrome kids come out with him for senior night recognition was a very special moment. He really has donated a lot of time to the community and you could tell the fans really appreciated him. It was very very awesome. You could tell just from that, his motivation was very genuine in giving back.

We are cursed this week. I want NIU to win so bad. If they do win, SF will give MM a 4 year extension.

“IT’S HARD TO BEAT A TEAM THREE TIMES”
Quote:According to STATS LLC., there have been 981 similar matchups across Division I college basketball over the past 10 seasons. The teams entering the third game 2-0 are a combined 710-271 (.724 winning percentage) in the third meeting.

So over a 10-year period in college basketball including almost 1,000 games, the team that won the first 2 games won the third meeting 72.4% of the time. So it clearly doesn’t follow that it is hard to beat a team 3 times. In fact, it’s actually kind of easy.

Huskies got this.

GO NIU!

Has Monty ever beaten a team 3 times in a season?
We have probably lost 3 times to a team.

Nice synopsis. No ice storms so I'm going to see the games. Should catch the end of the women's game.

NIU should win both.

Oddity: LiveStats has NIU playing EMU. Eastern logo on scoreboard, on play updates, but Ohio players by name in running stats. Maybe someone got their "greens" mixed up.

The stadium looks great with all seats down in the bowl. A tad empty, but impressive.
