Final words for our lost brethren.
Daniel we barely knew thee.
And now, a few words for our departed poster:
Ass
Well, I guess just the one word.

Doc earned the Coach of the Year award.
C-USA has never once done USM any favors.
Most USM fans are ecstatic that Doc didn't get the award, because they don't want to appear wrong in their hatred for the man.
I don't know any fans happy Doc didn't get the award. Most fans I know want to see him succeed, he's just shown very little success before this conference year. If you recall, he had a lot of fans excited at the beginning of the year before losing to some low D1 school and William Carey. That's the formula for lack of support.

This must be false because when I mentioned Jeff Jones gonna Jeff Jones it I was attacked by the all the ODU faithful telling me how wonderful he is and running down Western. (I never mentioned Western. My subject was Jeff Jones. But that was too difficult to differentiate for the ODU homers)
I even mentioned how every year after Jeff Jones, Jeff Joneses the tourney I go over to the ODU board on this very website and deliciously enjoy the carnage of the Jeff Jones haters. I guess none of those guys come here. Because this bunch backed Jeff Jones like Tom Cruise jumping on a couch over Scientology.
There are plenty of us who aren't satisfied with the lack of quality postseason appearances under Jones. I wouldn't call them haters. Anyone who has been an ODU fan for more than a decade is used to seeing ODU in the NCAAs. We haven't been since 2011, by far the longest streak in our history. The losing streaks against teams that we used to destroy hasn't helped either.
Coming into this season, many of us had a bucket list of what we wanted to see JJ accomplish. He's checked the box on everything so far save the NCAAs. That remains to be seen.

Makes what he’s done even more impressive. If you haven’t spent any time around USM or Hattiesburg, then you can’t really grasp how much of a punchline this program has been over the past 5 years. This is one of the toughest, if not THE toughest jobs in the conference with the lack of tradition, abysmal facilities due to administrative neglect, and no fan support. We’ve had fans say (unironically) that we should drop men’s basketball and direct that money toward baseball. Hoops is a distant, distant third in popularity here.
Why would anyone willingly spend time in Hattiesburg?

Not sure what the last word was as it is starred out, but it must have been a doozy to get him banned.
To answer his original question though, manboobs. Hattiesburg is the manboob capitol of the world, so if you like manboobs, you can't pick a better place to spend time in.

X2. Pathetic outburst. But this is what happens when you have passion for an institution like usm.
Huh?
USM averages like 27 fans per game.
So says the fan of a program with a Div III football stadium..

"Daniel is traveling tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain
Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes
They say Spain is pretty, though I've never been
Well Daniel says it's the best place that he's ever seen
Oh and he should know, he's been there enough
Lord I miss Daniel, oh I miss him so much"
Thanks to Sir Elton John

I think all of us our disatisfied. We split between those who think he’s had enough time and those that think he should have another year or two based on recent recruiting. Then there’s those that don’t trust Selig to make a good hire replacing him anyway.

Expect to see him dressed the same unless the University President or AD tells him to dress differently
