I feel I should start this as we are 1 week from the quarterfinals.
Lots of seeding shakeups are still to happen, but it's possible Toledo can win Friday, be the 2 seed. Play the 7-10 winner.... And that could be Ball State vs. EMU.
That would be the worst possible matchup for a quarterfinals game as they are probably the most skilled yet under seeded teams. Ball State hasn't been playing well but I'd still hate that. It'd mean playing EMU back to back as well. Losing to EMU almost works out better as I believe BG will lose to UB anyhow and Toledo will be the 2 seed.

I'd rank the teams that I don't want to play as follows.
1 UB
2 EMU
3 BG
4 BSU
5 KSU
6 NIU
7-12 who cares.

I’d much rather play BG than Kent or BSU right now. Wiggins got 14 minutes last night, the eighth grade looking kid was 1-1,000,000 on three point shots. Their confidence is at a low ebb.

Looking at the different scenarios, EMU is pretty much locked in to the 6 seed unless they end up in a 3 way tie with CMU and Akron at 9-9, which would happen if Akron wins at Kent, CMU loses at WMU, and Toledo beats EMU on Friday. The first two results are unlikely, so I don't think we have to worry about playing EMU in the quarterfinals.
