ljmhurons -- I'm not sure I follow your logic of the "intelligent approach" -- seems like a lazy approach. The MWC will also be sending a similar record and rank team -- they aren't sending their best to play our 3rd best team. You also don't get better, as a conference, continually sending your best teams -- that's not competition. Try and tell Kent State you're never going to a bowl game because "well only NIU goes to bowl games because they always win and always get better recruits".
Bowl games are fun. Just enjoy.

Bowl games are fun. Just enjoy.
Also the extra practices are huge for underclassmen and the overall growth of a program. When teams get those extra 2+ weeks every year the program becomes stronger.
