MBB v. MTSU
Let's see what iteration of Rice we see in the first half. Also looks like a really bad student turnout, unsurprisingly. Hopefully people are running fashionably late.

Starting out with a lead of 7-0!

ETA: Not technically starting with a 7-0 lead... the game started 0-0, and then we went on a 7-0 run to begin the game.

Really stout defense to start. Parrish hobbling after a collision, though, which would be bad news.

The first media timeout comes with a Rice lead of 12-0!

12-0 Rice at the under-16. MTSU getting nothing clean and not exactly showing a lot of defensive intensity.

Very early but the Owls look quick and aggressive so far.

16-7 Rice at the under-12. A bit sloppier defensively. Rob with two open misses from 3. He'll hit those if he keeps getting them. MTSU not looking great in either man or zone.

Came back in but still hobbling behind the bench. Doesn’t appear too serious, but he doesn’t appear full speed yet.

TO MTSU. Rice up 24-7 and doing their best WBB impression. Really good defense, getting really good looks on O.

Poor turnout but I wasn’t expecting much after the big push for the women’s game. Only so many Rice fans out there.

The radio broadcast just said that a win today would clinch our spot in the C-USA tournament.

I haven’t been able to watch the Owls much thus season..I know they’ve struggled some. But they look pretty sharp right now.

28-8 Rice at the under-8. Refs letting them play which is a nice change. Pretty sure there are crews that would've called 5 fouls on that last Rice defensive possession.

The lead is up to 28-8 at the 7:05 mark. They are really bringing it today!

Sundays are *not* the day to schedule basketball games at Rice. Everybody is hungover, studying, or both.

I haven't seen any games but have caught many of them via online "radio" broadcast. Yes, the team has struggled some this year, but they are WAY ahead of where they were a year ago. This freshman class has really come along nicely over the course of the season.

RE: MBB v. MTSU
Peterson with by far his best half of the season. Active on defense and attacking way more confidently. A couple sloppy defensive breakdowns, but I guess that's nitpicking when you're up 34-14 at the under-4.
