Today the Cougar softball team takes on the big least chumps Seton Hall. This game is taking place in Waco. I will check the Gametracker and post updates in this thread. Hopefully this thread will be up for a long time as the Coogs make a deep run in the tourney.

Looks like the game hasn't started yet. The Baylor vs North Carolina games took a few extra innings. The Gametracker is not even working for the second game, which is UTSA vs Illinios :mad:

Hope they fix it in time for our game.

Bad news: Coogs are down 2-0 in the bottom of the 5th (Seton Hall is the home team).

Looks like it's 0-0 in the middle of the 4th. Coogs are the home team today. C'mon ladies... beat TAMCC!

At the end of six innings it is still 0 - 0. Yesterday the first game went 16 inning, I hope the women can polish them off quicker than that today.

Still scoreless, middle of the 8th... and dammit, I have to go to a meeting. :mad:

The Coogs did it. Glowacz scored on a Skender double in the bottom of the 8th. We win 1-0!!!!!



We get the loser of Baylor vs. Illinois at 5:30 tonight.

Well... I see the ladies lost a tough one and got eliminated, but all is not lost -- today was still our first-ever women's NCAA tournament softball win! Sounds like it was a sad end to a great season. Congratulations to the Cougar softball team, and I hope this is just the start of a great women's CWS history for UH. (I have this far-fetched hope that sometime Rice might put up a softball team, and then we could have a Ladies' Silver Glove too. Though of course the Owls would get completely smoked in the first few years... but I digress.)

Go Coogs! Congratulations on a well-accomplished season.

Yeah the softball really reresented the university well this season. I am proud of them and know that they will be back even stronger next season. Congratulations to Coach Holas and the Cougar Softball team on an excellent season.
