If I win the Mega lottery I will send enough money for the buyout.

On the radio post game with Bill Baker, Monte just sounds beat and a man with no answers. [/u]

It will be a long 1 or 2 years unless Monty decides to walk away from the money on his own. He was an enthusiastic coach if anything. The last few games he does sonund like a beat man. No way he has the energy to turn this around. He created this but honestly I understand why he seems wore out

RE: mbb vs EMU
I’m going to bet that today was Monty’s last game coaching at home. For the record it’s not just Sean Frazier that makes a decision whether to keep Monty or not. The Board of Trustees and President Freeman also have equal say in the matter.

STF is his boss. It’s his decision. Get ready for the contract extension. Read all about it in the Star soon.

RE: mbb vs EMU
If this is correct ... A post on the "mbb v bowling green" thread, page 3, including a link to photocopies of the contract, first amendment and second amendment, the last dated March 18, 2016. I followed the link and read the documents, as I'm sure others have also. This last includes terms for extensions and says, in part "... The terms of your employment agreement will be extended through June 30, 2021, and will include the following extension terms ... ." And also "... please indicate your acceptance by signing ... ." Montgomery signed the amendment March 28, 2016.

Dog fan, I disagree! I believe at a school like NIU when every dollar counts this situation is several people’s decision

RE: mbb vs EMU
With all the names being tossed around, please help clear up some confusion. At the end of the current season, how many spots on the team will be open? How many scholarships will Montgomery have to work with? How many offers are out there now? If anyone can answer some or all, thanks in advance.

And dc1, to your earlier comment speculating this was MMS last home game and now you correctly point out “every dollar counts”.

Aren’t you contradicting yourself? How could a coaching change happen then?

Are you saying MM might be so emotionally beaten that he would agree to a smaller buyout?

Thanks joe Novak, I was commenting on someone criticizing Frazier about getting rid of Monty. I don’t think it’s totally his decision alone. The truth is NIU doesn’t have the money to buy out Monty. I am just guessing but I wouldn’t be surprised if some of us donors came up with the money

Yes,
But I have never seen a press release saying xxx was fired today from NIU.
It usually comes out with a player or friend telling us xxx will not be back.
Kathy Bennett was a situation that I still don't know what truly happened.
