Rio Grande Valley survives the South Side, 82-77. Few too many points left at the FT line in an otherwise tremendous Cougar effort where Bell and Strickland were scorching hot from 3.

About 100 fans but collectively one of the rowdier groups at JCC. Some CSU dads got real into it as they and the officials had some words and then some entertaining back and forth with RGV assistants. Memorable night. One of the funnest CSU games I’ve been to.

Plus there was a cute Cougar fan my age vocally showing her spirit a couple rows below.

They weren’t playing with the same rhythm in the second half. Like you said, a lot of points left at the FT line. If Bell and Strickland are hitting shots then they’ll be a dangerous team.
Harris has been carrying them but was pretty absent this game.

Every team in this conference is dangerous. Hope we learned that going into KC tonight.

Glad to see UTRGV doing so well this year in the conference. They've put themselves in an excellent position to get 10 conference wins. Outside of CSU, the Vaqueros will be the next team I root for out in Vegas.
