We seem to agree more than disagree. You really think it's a great move to give a home only to a team that has "literally been the joke....." You make exactly the point I made and nearly the opposite of Boca whose smae conclusion as yours came from polor opposite reasoning.

BUT if you do not believe that a home game against an SEC team will bring more fan interest than a team like... Norfolk St...ok. Agree to disagree.

This all started because you think the 1 and money is bad....

What makes you think Name recognition of Kentucky brings a casual student out?

Name recognition.

ba dum bum

And it's not just students of interest. It's former alums. It's city fans..... The goal is to build donation list. Kentucky or similar midling P5, let alone SEC would do that MUCH better than these ESPN schedules. 10 years from now, what fan is going to remember playing Norfolk st ? They would remember playing even a Kentucky.

But my real wish would have been that b-ball game. 05-bump
If the argument is Kentucky over Norfolk State then we don't have an argument ha. But these deals were signed in different years and have nothing to do with one another. It's a fake choice MOB never had.

I’m sure people would turn out in droves to watch a team that lost every game. What? Seriously? Oh. OK, so maybe CFU WOULD be a good get. Let’ s forget the UMasses and Temples of the world.

UMass has averaged 3 wins over the each of the past 5 seasons. Temple's averaged 8. The Owls would be a big upgrade over UMass. Teams like WKU, Old Dom, MTSU, etc are close enough that fan bases could make the trip to the Glass Bowl. Really have no interest in FCS opponents. If you're going to schedule them, don't get teams that UT is going drop 70-80 points on. It's a joke. Very disappointed in these schedule additions.

Agree 1000%; I'd rather play a power 5 team on the road than this dribble. Just horrible!

two for one is how

Yep. I'd do a 2-for-1 with them in a heartbeat. Heck, I'd do that with any P5 conference team.

No one has mentioned anything about Norfolk State's band? Easily one of the best in the country :) Worth the price of admission alone!

Looking at future schedules, teams like Oklahoma State, Louisville, Maryland,Army, etc. have openings.

Maryland and Louisville are in areas we like to recruit. They would be nice series.

Again, those teams would 1) have to want to play UT, and 2) play at the right price, and 3) play at the right location (who gets a home game what year?). They both might have a common open date one year, but if both teams need 1 more home game that year, that won't work.
