Is he related to Zayin West, current player on KSU football?

I don’t believe so, but Zayin’s dad played for the Flashes in the early 90s.

NCAA signing day for college football is as follows:

Division I early signing period is from 12/18/19 through 12/20/19
Division I Junior college/community college mid-year transfers signing period is from 12/18/19 through 01/15/20
Division I regular signing period is from 02/05/20 through 04/01/20

KSU football is currently ranked 6th out of 12 MAC teams on 247sports and has 13 commits.

13 of 13 recruits are HS seniors (West is from Christian Brothers College, but it is a prep school, not a JC or CC). I wonder if all 13 will sign early?

Yeah, I never gave much thought to the early commits. Kids verbal as a safety net and then wait for the bigger offers to come in. You want the kid to be that good to make a difference, but not that much out there in the spotlight that the big boys poach him. We’ve lost a lot of difference makers over the years to the big boys, and the other night I tuned in to the Grey Cup and saw Zach Collaros leading his team to the title. Rarely we’ll get somebody like Rosie Nix who stays true to his word and doesn’t pull his verbal when the bigger programs come calling.

QB Ryan Stubblefield also decommited today.

247 sports had him "warm" to ECU. Best to him as well.

I trust Lewis and crew will be all right backfilling these de-commits.

Wake Forest is one of the worst P5s in America. Have fun with that.

Wake Forest is 8-3 this year and have had a winning record the past few years. As long as Clawson is there they should keep winning.

Ok, and? They are P5, play in a big name conference in the south and are on the upswing. They’re not playing lesser known schools on a chilly Tuesday night in an empty stadium for one of the worst G5s in America. Besides, I doubt any KSU recruit in any sport would choose KSU over Wake.

Since 2010 13 players have been drafted from Wake. Over that same time Kent has had 3.

DT Adin Hunington committed recently. Not highly recruited at the FBS level, but had an offer from FCS power James Madison.

Says he’s 6’ and 260 playing d-line but looks much smaller. Maybe it was the picture of him in a #1 jersey but I assumed he was a DB and then read the recruiting profile saying he’s a DT. He also ran track in HS, not weight events, but running so he must have quite a motor. Hoping for a poor mans Rosie Nix.
