One of the things affecting our class is it’s small size (which isn’t really a problem). The other issue is that we haven’t closed well (which is a problem).

We can't sell kids a great education anymore. None of them care about that, and it destroys our recruiting.

Sadly, I think there is a real truth here.

New JUCO recruit - 6-0/210 LB Jaren Banks out of Oregon (that's why Bloomgren was up there), but played JUCO at New Mexico Military Institute. Ranked as the #7 defensive JUCO by one report and a 3-star recruit. Shows great speed and instinct based on his highlights, and based on how good our other JUCO defensive starters have looked, I'd say this is a really good pick-up (although I wonder if he projects as a safety?)

Excellent! This is looking like a really nice class. Even more intrigued with Taylor with the info NYNightOwl turned up.

The one guy I don't exactly understand why he hasn't signed yet is Brian Hibbard.

He's following all Rice people on twitter, has been committed since April, and didn't sign in December. Maybe waiting on a test score...? But I find that hard to believe as usually those people "drop" sooner.
