And Marshall should be thankful for Charlotte founding CUSA and then leaving so you could finally get in after years of trying.

You don’t really have to speculate much on a list like this. Just look at where the bigger name coaches have gone to especially when given a choice between CUSA schools. For example, a couple seasons ago Kiffin had a choice between WKU and FAU. I don’t think he even had a difficult decision.

Coaches in demand are not choosing WKU, Marshall, and USM over FIU, FAU, and UNT in football.

I'm gonna challenge your inclusion of Marshall in this list. We're only had to hire 2 head coaches in the last quarter century. We got a national championship winning Defensive Coordinator from Ohio State (Snyder) and an Associate Head Coach to Urban Meyer who won a national title at Florida (Holliday).

The fact we've only had to hire twice in a quarter century says something about our job.

clt says the national media continues to call Charlotte a gem.

Not bad enough to be fired but not good enough to attract a better job.

No recruiting budget needed at USM. Plenty of talent within 100 miles of H'burg to field a roster, and be successful. Fact. Not that we limit ourselves, but I wonder about our success recruiting Texas versus Florida.
