Season tickets
I got a call today from the NIU ticket office about renewing my season tickets, which I will be doing. Good to see that NIU is being proactive and and trying to get tickets sold.

I hope more people step up to the plate and buy season tickets. It's good for the school, good for the program

Hopefully Coach Hammock's enthusiasm and commitment carrying over into renewed fan interest, and more importantly, wins.

I agree, but as a show of good will you would like to see the athletic dept provide some indication they will try to get more than 2 attendable home games per year. Im not saying 130 bucks for 2 attendable games is unreasonable, but too steep for some.

I got a call also, from Nick. He was very enthusiastic--liked his energy, especially when I asked how the response was since Coach Hammock came on board. He said alum and the campus has a good vibe. I'm renewing, but also thinking about buying an extra ticket to bring friends and family. Go Huskies!

Season tickets
Yep, this is the time of year I expect my annual communication from Athletics. First the ticket office to renew my tickets. Then from the HAF to send in my big donation. Then, as soon as they get my check, I don’t hear from them again until the next March. Before STF, they used to be pretty good in dealing with donors.

Consider it a contribution to the program. Until we get more people at games, we need to play more "money" games. Constant negativity is not going to help the program.

We're plying some good teams this year. Get on board.

Not thinking of myself, I've been on board since dawn of time. You aren't going to get casual fans though by not catering to them. For too long this conference has stuck it to fans. It is incredible to see there is a single fan left given the tremendous mismanagement

Yet another positive thread blown up by the same old crap. Anyway, we’ll be renewing our 4 tix plus traveling to 3-4 away games, plus the MACC! Fall ain’t the same without Huskies football. 04-rock

STF has done what he needs to do to keep the program afloat. We fans have champagne tastes on a beer budget.

Perhaps the MAC hasn't cut the best TV deals, but we need to live in the real world.

Hopefully we've turned the corner and our fan base will increase...slowly, perhaps, but increase. There are over 200,000 NIU alumni. We need to bring them back.

As for me, I'm going to buy the tickets and not sulk about the lack of home games. Hopefully we can get back to more Saturday games, but for now we have to live with what we have.

Whining about the lack of home games and STF (who I think has done a good job) is not going to help things.

Admittedly we're in the honeymoon phase with Coach Hammock, but at least there is some positive energy and excitement about NIU football. For God's sake(and ours) enjoy it.

As of now planning on either Utah or Vandy, and the Saturday home games. I give my season tickets to family still left in Illinois and they hit a game or two.

Looking forward to some Maction offense this year.

Personally, I'm chomping at the bit just to go to a spring practice. Can't wait to see Coach Hammock and his coaches work with our players.

It's not whining to ask an AD to do AD duties. Frazier does not even want to be at NIU, much like our head basketball coach.

Renewed as well today my standard 2. Agree loving the vibe coming from the football program.

I can only imagine what negative post dunderdawg...on second thought I don’t.

Let us not allow one mope ruin a good positive thread. Cheers to all that renewed or are looking to for the first time.

Appreciate what you've got.

Great perspective.

STH’er usually gets you tix in NIU block for road games (Iowa excepted). Another benefit.

Can I just ask, how come it is almost fashionable to slam and mock NIU hoops in every thread but if one person mentions something non glowing about football then it's the end of the world. In case you havent noticed, the fan base is decimated in both sports, basketball does not hold a monopoly on that

RE: Season tickets
The last 6 years I have purchased the 3 pack of tickets. This year I will be upgrading to the season package. I probably will only use the Saturday games. I have asked them to allow people to pick the 3 Saturday games but doesn't seem like they want to do that. It is not like any game is close to selling out.

Anybody know when The “HAF/Season Ticket” packages mail out? I feel like we usually got them in mid-late February.

Wonder if they’re changing levels or parking etc...?
