Looks to be a must read. And this Apollo 11 new documentary looks to be a must see too.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8760684/

So marketing department - I know you read this board. Here's a great idea for the FIU series in April. Maybe to commemorate the release of this new book, invite Brinkley to throw out the first pitch at one of the games that weekend (assuming it fits his schedule), and then maybe they can sell the book on the concourse and allow him to autograph copies of the book? FIU isn't near Cape Canaveral, but at least it's in Florida so you have the natural Texas/Florida tie-in.

ETA - actually now that I think about it some more, maybe they can devote a whole weekend to saluting the 50th anniversary of Man On The Moon? Bring in some astronauts for one of the other games that weekend.

Well I might manage to get one over the plate but it sure won’t reach ‘escape velocity’.

How about something special for those in attendance that were alive on that day. And something really special for those who were in Rice Stadium to hear Kennedy’s speech....I know PTH was...anyone else?

When Mariano Rivera retired, his last series was in Houston. I thought it would have been a wonderful tribute to invite every astronaut who had walked on the moon (or a personal representative because I think a couple had passed away).

Why? Because more men have walked on the moon than have scored against Mariano in the post-season.
