That's good enough to put him in the Top 5 (tied) amongst LBs, but definitely disappointing.

Slightly disappointed due to the hype of how strong he is, but to put in perspective he did 2 less than a top 10 O-lineman in this draft. Could’ve be worst.

And 3 less than the Top 10 D-lineman. Disappointing relative to what NIU fans and those who've seen him play expected, but all things considered, not bad.

Nick Bosa, at 266lbs, was the lightest DL who out benched him. Of the others, 9 were over 300lbs and only Michigan's Rashan Gary was under 285lbs.

I hope he ends up a Chicago Bear if teams decide to overlook him.

It’s definitely a solid result. I Was just hoping for something that would get him some attention. I still believe his speed/quickness measures will be the big factor for him.

So they could play him at FB, if they play him at all? Pass.

Bears still have that Bears stench on them. Need a larger sample size before they can successfully shed that.

Give me a proven winner instead. Belichick.

He’d be perfect in the Patriots system as well. Not that much different than what the Bears defense is doing.

Be very surprised if Sutton is drafted. Two many questions for a tweener.

He still has tomorrow at the combine to be judged...plus his college stats were outrageous.

DJ Metcalf who has been a freak show in this combine repped 27 on the bench.

Sutton finishes up today with 2nd day drills (40-run, Vertical Jump, Broad Jump, 3- Cone Drill) and should excel in these "explosive" drills.

So two 4.70’s flat for Sutton. Getting closer and closer to Late round or UDFA with the results so far. Still a hell of a player even if not quite the athlete we thought.

Sutton Smith ran a 4.7 40 yard dash today. Not bad but a 4.6 would have jumped his stock.

Again people do not realize how rare any 4.50 laser times are , there about a handful of players in the nation that run these times in reality. But if you ask or go on someones twitter they all run 4.3 o 4.4's.
That being said I bet 4.70 still a top 10 time for his position. I wish him the best, he only needs 1 team to be in love with him.

SS currently listed as 5.26 per nfl.com. Makes a roster but is considered a back up or special teams player. Just get your foot in the door and make waves during preseason and practice.

#13 best 40 time. He looks pretty good in drills. But he needed to wow people with his speed and that didn’t happen.

13th at edge. And I believe he is the lightest player. The one guy who weighs 286 lbs ran 4.66. It’s not that 4.7 is slow overall, but it’s also relative to the other players in your draft class. And also relative to what your strengths and weaknesses are. For Sutton a 4.7 is not good for his perceived weakness.
