Respectable.

As of the 1st group, it's more than respectable. 4 have gone higher, 11 have gone lower. Hopefully the score holds up well.

As of the 2nd group, it's still holding up. A total of 10 have gone higher and 24 have gone lower. Max is on pace to finish in the top third or so of the OL group, if things keep trending at this pace.

Third, and last, group is done and Max placed 13/47 (10 DNP) out of the OL in the Bench Press. 12 benched more, 32 benched less, and 2 benched the same 27 reps as Max.

When does the NFL Network's coverage of the Wonderlic testing start?

That's on ESPN+, I believe.

Looking ahead, I think Max's 27 is a good sign for Sutton. Legend says he's a BEAST in the weight room and I think rumor is that he out-benched even Lineman, so I expect him to put up more than the 27 reps. To get in the 30s, at his scrutinized size, would be YUGE.

Hope so. My $5 per month to watch Mark Montgomery coach has not been a wise investment thus far.

Hey if the Buffalo win was big enough for our esteemed AD to extend Monty a few more years, I am sure that Buffalo game made the ESPN+ investment worth it just from that game alone.

From my count 12 o-linemen did more than Max's 27 bench reps, 2 o-linemen matched him at 27 reps, and 32 o-linemen did fewer than 27 reps. Looks like Max stacks up pretty well.

I saw somewhere that he tweaked a hammy and thus was not going to "run". It shouldn't affect his Wonderlic testing...02-13-banana

I believe Max said in his interviews yesterday that he tweeked a Hamstring and would not be running at the combine or at NIU's Pro Day.

Sutton's measurements are in. He's going to be hurt by his short arms, at least as an EDGE. I expect him to run some EDGE drills on Sunday but would be surprised if he didn't take a substantial number of snaps in the LB drills.

Max Scharping Drills update

Bench Press: 27 reps (OL range | High: 39, Low: 16)
40-time: DNP
Vertcal Jump: 28" (OL range | High: 36", Low:22.5")
Broad Jump: 9'-0" (OL range | High: 9'-10", Low: 7'-6")
3-Cone Drill: 7.77 sec (OL range | Fast: 7.41, Slow: 8.34)

Max's score of 9-0 in the broad jump was good for 17/41 (16 DNP). 16 scored better, 22 scored less, 2 score the same.

Max's score in the 3-cone drill was 7.77 seconds, good for 19/39 (18 DNP). 18 scored faster, 19 scored slower, 1 scored the same time. Basically right in the middle, not bad considering he's one of the larger/heavier participants.

This was a good showing for Max. He was in the top half, or better, for the drills listed here. Considering his size, that speaks well of his athleticism. His tape and efficiency stats speak for themselves. From what has been written, it seems he did well in the interview portions of the Combine as well.

Max was projected by many to have a 4th Round grade prior to the Combine, can't see how that would have slipped any and likely improved. He's labeled as "versatile" meaning some teams may want to try him on the inside but by no means is he considered an exclusively interior lineman prospect. Many teams will project Max as an OT (either LT or RT) and that will add to his value, especially if there is a run on OTs as there often is.

I'm thinking possible Day 2 pick for Max.

25 reps for Sutton. That’s not what I had heard he could do. A little disappointing.
