For better or worse, the AAC really backloaded the quality opponents for the 'Cats. While I believe each of these games could go either way, here's my take on most to least difficult of the remainder. Curious what others might think?...
1.
Houston- even @ 5th/3rd the Cougars may enter the game with the best record in the country, an earlier victory over UC and a very talented squad seeking a season ending victory on national TV to possibly move up to a #2 seed in March Madness.
2.
UCF- another rock fight, this time with UCF getting some home cooking from the officials? Maybe, maybe not. I think Cumberland will return to form in round two. And UCF never seems to have a home court advantage in terms of crowd interest. Pretty sad given the quality of this year's team.
3.
Memphis- Size, talent and scoring but unless they put on a shooting clinic on the road, I think they're too undisciplined to beat UC in our arena.
4.
SMU- I suspect their arena won't be as full and fans as passionate as in years past with this season's results to date but their "all guard" lineup can create matchup problems. Still, UC's depth and inside game suggest a focused Bearcat team will get the series sweep.
As I posted in another thread, I feel the worse case scenario for the last 4 games is 3-1 with a good shot at 4-0. The loss in my mind is at UCF. Again, games in conference on the road are always tough. I don't believe we lose to Houston at home after already losing to them. Someone with more time than I have right now will have to verify but when was the last time we've lost to a conference opponent two times in the same season? I know Houston is really good but we're pretty solid too and at home especially so.

Regarding Memphis lock down Martin. He is on fire right now with scoring and assists.
I may combine this thread with the other exact same thread when I get back to the office. If it suddenly disappears on you.

Good analysis. Memphis is playing well right now, especially with Martin playing at conference POY level. UCF will be highly competitive against us and may have a slight advantage playing at home. Houston is elite this year. We will have to play at a high efficiency rate to beat them, although I think our home crowd will definitely be a "6th man".
