# 22 in Coaches poll. That's a bit of a surprise.

Our ranking is about right, although I think Buffalo is too high. They are a good team, but their early season win over WVU in Morgantown is not looking so eye-opening now. UC could really improve its seeding with wins over UCF and Houston to end the season. Surprised UCF is not getting some votes, but I suppose that until they actually win a meaningful game that they just don't have the national reputation to hang their hat on. Our win over Eggs-avier was helped by its win over Villanova on Saturday, but none of our December "marquee" wins over UCLA, Ole Miss and Eggs look that great at this point.

Agree about Buffalo; impressive team but the MAC is pretty poor overall and not a test. I kept thinking they had some big wins pre-conference to propel them but that's not the case either. The AAC has been slightly undervalued so far this season. As others have said, if Houston and/or Cincinnati can get past the first weekend it will do a lot to improve perception of the league.

RE: AP POLL 2/25
the B10 is good, probably the best this year no doubt but I think having 6 is overrated and my gut says in March, they are going to show to be a paper tiger on the whole

Iowa is probably a little overrated. Maryland has great metrics, but I find myself being a bit skeptical of them. I really like the other 4 ranked Big Ten teams this year.

I think Maryland is a good bet to be upset in the first round.

They probably need another win, but that's likely it. I see them as a 10th or 11th seed and a first round loss. I'd love that game back.
