Men's Hoops Games to Watch 2/26 - 3/2
If the MAC Tournament started today the Golden Flashes would be the #5 seed, playing host to Western Michigan. Plenty will change by the time the conference tournament begins.

Here is a look at the games that KSU fans should keep an eye on this week as the Flashes look to move back into top 4 position:

Ohio University (4-10) @ Kent State (8-6)
A home game that KSU simply has to win. While I realize that there is a movement towards never criticizing, or even questioning, Rob Senderoff on this board, there is no excuse for the team not being ultra prepared and locked in on Tuesday night.

Akron (7-7) @ Buffalo (12-2)
The Flashes are not catching Buffalo. But Akron could catch the Flashes. A Buffalo stampede here would go a long way to ensuring that Akron opens the MAC Tournament at James A Rhodes Arena.

Toledo (9-5) @ Ball State (5-9)
Ball State. I don't know what it is about them, but I think they are halfway decent. If they can hold serve at home against UT, the race for 3 & 4 gets a bit tighter.

Lets see how this play out before moving on to the weekend.

Go Flashes!

Go Flashes!
Ball State has had several key injuries this season - they are getting healthy abd could make a run in the tournament. We have to find our three point shooting or we'll not be seeing much of a postseason.

The only game that really matters this weekend is Kent State @ Bowling Green. If the Flashes win, they are still in decent shape heading into the final week of the season. That would be especially true if Central Michigan can knock off Toledo. Looks like a MAC double header on CBSSN this Friday with the Flashes tipping at 6.

Elton wrote this of the atmosphere at Rhodes arena yesterday. Made me chuckle. I get it man.

“But this game was snoozing even before the jump ball. The big game atmosphere expected for a team making a charge into March Madness was muted for the Akron crowd by constant pregame video replays of Zips football, instead of the fast-improving basketball product in front of them. That lifeless atmosphere seemed to transfer down to the players on the court.“

"Fast-improving basketball product"? They were 1-4 in their last 5 coming into that game.
