So to recap.....
- MTSU hosts a tournament starting today and plays 4 games today through Sunday
- Marshall plays in a tournament Friday through Sunday with a DH on Saturday
- Charlotte, WKU and UTSA play 4 games each with all having a Saturday DH
- FIU only plays twice this weekend, once on Friday and once on Saturday

Illinois is our signature OOC series this year. They were picked to finish 3rd in the B1G. Last time we played them was 2 years ago where we took the series 2-1. Their pitching staff returns 98% of its starts and 97% of its wins from last year, beating No. 20 Wake Forest in Winston-Salem with a 1.33 ERA and .179 batting average against opening weekend on Saturday.

If we want to win this series, we must eliminate the fielding errors. We've given up too many unearned runs when the inning should've been over. If we can do that, hopefully our starting pitchers have another inning or two in them before we go to the bullpen. And as long as we can put some runs up on the board, we should have a chance to take the series. Our cleanup hitter Morgensen should be back in the lineup after he didn’t travel down to Miami last night with the team due to an illness.

We've got some nice series slated for this weekend. Looking forward to some great baseball. Good luck to MTSU today.

Charlotte has bumped the series with Canisius to 1 game Saturday, 2 games Sunday, and 1 game Monday. I am almost certain there will be more changes to this schedule. Weather not looking good for this weekend.

Probably going to be the same for most of the weekend. USM's series at Mississippi St is scheduled for single games each day but I've seen several tweets where they hope to somehow get in a single game either Friday or Saturday with a DH on Sunday...just not sure what day or time game 1 will be.

Due to expected rain here on Friday, the series opener with Mississippi State in Starkville has been pushed up to 2 p.m.

Not 99, but I’ll answer.

RPI is based off of your wins/losses, your opponents wins/losses, and your opponents’ opponents wins/losses. Since people have only played 3-4 games at this point, RPI is just too variable to matter right now. Need to get a bigger sample size before RPI starts to paint a picture.

What he said. Generally it doesn't start settling out until after 35 or so game mark I think. Usually up until that point teams could see their RPI go up/down by 25 or more spots with a big win or big loss RPI wise.

I saw a few by the Gandy in P-town during Xmas....

the last time I saw this much rain in the 'burg during the winter mos., was when I built my house at the Trace....that pad sat for 3 mos. before they could pour the slab...

Took USM 6 full innings and an out into the 7th before we finally get a base hit. Good thing is our pitcher has been just as effective. Still scoreless with State coming to bat in bottom 7
