We need to schedule with Memphis soon. BBQ for breakfast, lunch and dinner sounds good. Food Coma quite possible.

We will be there. I've had this one circled for a long time. Thank God there's a bye week between Nebraska and Vandy.

We went there to watch NIU baseball when they played down there (2016 or 17?), and we never saw a single inning of baseball lol

RE: The way too early Nashville roll call
I have fond memories of seeing the Broncos play at Vanderbilt in 1998. Tied, late fourth quarter, deep in our own territory. QB Tim Lester floats a bomb that puts us in FG position. A few plays later, we boot the kick to win the game as time expired.
I remember encountering a few Nashville locals (presumably Vols fans) here and there that night who said they were glad we won.
Good location for a road trip, I hope we get Vandy on our schedule again sometime soon. But we seem to be pretty clogged with B1G opponents over the next several years.

Is there an official NIU hotel? I am planning on staying downtown. Take Uber to and from game but if there is a NIU hotel, might consider.
Hotel prices near downtown are pretty steep. I am a Hilton member and still pricey for the 3 nights I plan on staying there.

Sometimes teams stay at the Hilton Embassy Suites near the airport. I think WKU was there a couple of years ago and beat Vandy (2015) (Wonderful Terry was on that team. Who can forget him?).

Was there in 1994 when a late TD put Huskies within one. Team convinced Sadler to go for two. Failed but great game in nice venue. Campus is great with lot of open fields for inter murals. Alumni had tent
with beer and some of the best BBQ I have ever had.. Enjoy your trip but don't over indulge.
GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw that a long time ago. My brother and I have been LSU fans since the late 70's when our neighbor's son was a professor there. He would sent us gear, posters, autographs. I contemplated taking a week off and going to the Smoky Mountains in between.

I always go to Rotier's. A little hole in the wall place by campus that's been there since the 1940's. Burgers, cheeses fries with brown gravy, great shakes, beer & ciders. Sandwiches and dinners from about $6-$13.

I am still gearing for a trip to Utah, few days going to Tetons, perhaps Yellowstone.
Can't swing it all.
Maybe I'll just retire early!!!

+ at least two. I'll ask Chicagoan, John Prine, to come too. And maybe bring his little buddy Kayce Musgraves.

I booked through them, although I cashed in most my pts and don't use their card any more as I do Wyndham. (They have crap there). I booked a Home2 Suites (2 beds, pullout in 2nd room)through them and it was a lot less than anywhere else in vicinity other than the Extended Stay. Did 5 day cancellation. Prepay was even less. It's between dtown (1 mi) and campus (1/2-3/4)and has a few bars around. Patterson House across the street looks interesting
Only issue is the 30 bucks parking. But that's anywhere in that immediate area. Don't plan on moving my car once there, looks like the tailgate sucks, parking is ala FSU and donor/permit on campus.
Also of note, Carrie Underwood has a show on Friday so likely adding a little to room prices.....
...hopefully to the "scenery" in town too!
I guess it's also the bachelorette party capital. At least of the south. Read one article where a guy said he "stopped counting at 17" on a weekend.
