Kind of fun and some neat logo ideas...particularly like Miami’s.

Thank you for taking my mind off the Rice game.

A lot of those logos (and some of the names) are great. But Houston Eagles? I know a few bald eagles have been seen in Fort Bend recently but that isn't a very common bird for these parts. Houston Humidity was a natural.

I think the Cleveland Rocks was my favorite.

Los Angeles Avocados was the worst. That one was the pits.

I like the San Diego Surfers and Washington Cherry Blossoms.

I actually think the Houston Astros (and the Rockets) are some of the most appropriate and excellent names in sports.

If any Houston team needs a name change, it is the Texans. The name shares the same level of creative genius and depth of the 'Unconventional Wisdom' slogan. Either that or this guy was in charge

The Philadelphia and St. Louis logos were both excellent and appropriate (without stretching). Plus, the SF logo with the big dog mouthing a baseball, with the “SF” as his dog tag, was fun.

None of these apply to the Houston entry. Unlike LA’s MLB and NBA teams, ours already are just right. The Rockets are a rare example of a franchise whose name became more appropriate when they moved.

Wow did not know that trivia!

Also don’t forget that the Denver Nuggets were previously known as the Denver Rockets.

And then of course there’s the Rockettes of Radio City.
(Who it turns out, originated in St. Louis)

They brought Elvin Hayes back with them. He played his first 3 years in San Diego.
