Virginia College to re-open and go Division I?
Barbers, nail technicians, truck drivers and culinary artists are certainly expanding career options, so the potential for growth is there once the bankruptcies, lawsuits and criminal charges are settled.

Could VC find a place in the WAC, maybe as an affiliate member in e-sports? Grand Canyon, after all, would seem like a natural rival.

DavidSt, you're usually the first to "know" about these things?

Have you heard anything at this point.

Virginia Intermont College is reopening their doors for a business school. No sports.

But they could be a D1 school just the same as TAMU-San Antonio. A school that has been listed as a future D1 many times despite not having athletics.

Wait, is this about Virginia Intermont, the NAIA school that closed in 2014, or Virginia College, the for-profit chain based in Birmingham (for some reason) that shuttered all of its campuses two months ago?

I think DavidSt may have made a detour

But it is possible VIC could still end up in Division I when it's all said and done, correct?

If VIC ends up as D1, which i think we all know is pretty much a given, whatever conference they join will be lucky to have a team with the Cobra as a mascot. Enough with the boring mascots. In fact, the mascot ought to be a criteria.

I predict VIC and their new Chinese owners will quickly see the wisdom of adding football and applying to the WAC. And what better rival for TAMU San Antonio than another school that doesn't currently have any sports!?

Regarding trade school Virginia College. I hope they aren't WAC bound. Dixie State not being in a southern states has created too much bewilderment for some to be able to take. A Virgina College that isn't necessarily in Virgina might just send them over the edge.

Don't mess with DavidSt. The man knows every college.
PeteTheChop tried to insult him. And Pete got chopped down at the knees.

From Nov. 28, 2018. BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) - The State Council for Higher Education for Virginia confirmed to News Channel 11 Virginia Intermont College, a school that shuttered more than 4 years ago, hopes to reopen as a business school. https://www.wjhl.com/local/owners-of-vir...1609745949

More like TAMU-Central Texas. Their campus plan does have D1 facilities (8,000 seat arena and 25,000 seat stadium) on it, even though they haven't begun admitting Freshmen or Sophomore students yet.

Virginia College can join a conference with Kaiser University.

This guy knows. Nostradavid is a living legend who’s the most talked about member in this site’s history.

100 years from now posters will be perusing the archives and asking about DavidSt while the rest of us are forgotten.
