Because sadly, its probably our most interesting home game.

I have more interest in the MAC games.

If you think there is no difference between playing Iowa, FSU, Utah, etc and playing the Dakotas and Illinois directional schools then I have nothing else to say.

So you just knocked your own school by putting down the Illinois directionals? And lets be honest, NIU is playing these payday games because the financials at the school are a mess and they need to do it to keep the basketball and baseball programs functioning.

The thing is, at some point ISU will become an FBS schools as they continue to build their brand and they will become a better football program than NIU..

Thats probably a fair statement, I would like ISU football to become an FBS program and surpass NIU as the #3 program in Illinois. As the #2 public school in the state, that clearly makes sense

But I am not going to get into this debate, everyone here knows all of this and the direction the two schools and heading.

OK, we were talking about football and you bring up ACT’s. Stay on topic. Deflecting is a sure sign of defeat.

Perhaps thats the problem at NIU currently, too much emphasis on getting blown out in the Boca Raton Bowl, not enough emphasis on academics and building enrollment?

Football is the only area that most feel that NIU has the upperhand on ISU. But before the chest thumping gets too bad, last year Sagarin had NIU at #84 and ISU at #95

You don't write like him but I was going to call you Whiskey Dick (Alum85). Are you related to him?

If they want to they could, but they don't want to be like NIU and make the slight bump to MAC level football and then strangle the other sports

My favorite line on this board I think was him talking about Pigdog. "Helen Keller could have done a better job with a pile of scrap metal and a blowtorch".

No we need P5 teams at home to draw 10K. Worked out so well last year.

Better schedule than last year. Still too difficult to get to an access game. I hope they go back to easier soon.

He was entertaining. My favorite was when HMM and Coils had a poster "Who is Alum85" at tailgate

Wanna bring in well more than 10K (at least going through the gates)? Have another bobblehead giveaway, but this time make it a talking Bill Baker bobblehead with him belting out some of his more memorable calls (such as "Goodbye Toledo!") at the push of a button.

Wow, that's a good idea. I'd pay good money for something like that.

We did get around 18,000 for Utah, which was significantly more than the other home games, even though not as many as we would have liked. So it does help some.
