When? Please source these comments. As usual I call bs. Kill has come back for a major event and even donated to niu. Never said a bad thing that I know of. He has publicly voiced regret over how his move to Minnesota was handled. Now that Carey is gone I assume you will have to find other bs to spread.

When did he "publicly'' voice his regret over how he tried to screw NIU over by leaving a skeleton crew for our bowl game? What did he say? When did he say it? And where? I'm still ticked that he didn't leave the coordinators to run the team for the bowl game. Thank goodness Tuke did such a great job.

this covers it nicely

I think Kill's onto something with the Schiano experience being a turning point for PJ- whether it changed him or just unleashed something in him all along. Kill was animated on the sideline, but was fundamentally a worker bee type coach, but PJ's orchestrating a show.

It's also revealing about Kill's values- loyalty to his guys (i.e. the crew of coaches he took with him everywhere) is kind of his north star. And PJ violated that by dumping guys PJ had worked with, which is the real cardinal sin, not whatever Kill is saying about players.

Who cares. The PJ ship has sailed. He will never coach at NIU again...(until maybe he is 65 and looking for one last paycheck). Kill has moved on too. I have to say, I agree with Kill, PJ seems like a younger Nick Saban, Rick Pitino, Urban Meyer type

Every coach doesn't bring all the assistant coaches with him when they change jobs. You take with you the ones you want. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I agree. I don't know when he was offered the job, but at least he didn't leave before the bowl game (maybe he should have!) or leave mentally before the MACC.

Totally agree. I also don't think Kill's totally out in left field though. PJ had worked with at least some of those guys, which could have easily lead to a couple sticking around.

Jerry's got a point about PJ's personality. He just gets there in a weird way built on his own beef built on his notions of loyalty in the coaching world.

Whatever....neither PJ nor Carey started Demarcus Grady over Chandler Harnish

Fun fact...Demarcus farted loudly in my history class and Dr. JD Bowers called him out on it
