Tulsa does remarkably well given its small size. Tulane, which has a larger enrollment and more money, could learn something from Tulsa.

Tulane needs to go D2 with everything and be done with it.

I heard they got invited mainly due to academics, and it was pushed by the C7 before they split. IDK for sure, though.

I think they tried to brand it Havoc in the heartland last year

I'd be shocked if the C7 pushed for Tulane...but who knows.

Rumor has it the C7 were pissed at the Tulane addition.

RE: Wednesday (2/20) AAC Basketball Games
So USF just obliterated their opponent, win 18 as crazy as that sounds from last year.

Two things.

1. Every Bull has scored this year, that shows team and culture development that will pay off over time.

2. USF is a strong defensive team which will carry over year from year. This year six opponents have scored above their season average against them. Of those three required overtime to do so.

Impressive.

We are tied with Houston for most conference championships in the AAC. Unfortunately we haven't got close to getting one in a revenue sport.

If true, which is highly unlikely that is nuts. Academics at TU? Give me a ******* break. Academics at Tulsa vs WSU are like sleet vs snow. You decide which is better.

Honestly, I do not know why anyone would go to TU. The cost is outrageous, and it helps you getting a job as much as a nice red tie.

Anecdotes are not data. WSU alums started Pizza Hut. Don't get me started on the "academics" at SMU.

If you can't get into the truly elite schools, it just doesn't matter - and even then I am not sure it matters. I've hired HUNDREDS of people and I can assure you that a TU vs SMU vs Eastern Washington degree just doesn't matter.

Yeah, sure.....

I'm just taking a stab in the dark that you don't work in a field even adjacent to petroleum eguneering.

I also doubt you have any idea what the course work or demands are for any college beyond the one you attended.

Funny how it's always the large public university grads who go on and on about how their school is just as good as x school/institution that they couldn't get into and never went to.
