Good effort Uconn.

It's a shame that our pitching is so erratic. With any kind of decent pitching, we could go places with this offense.

No kidding. Tulane's team BA is .313; UH only has two players with BA above .313, and one of them was mainly a bench guy until recently.

Has Tulane played an extra 10 or 20 games more than everyone else? The disparity is striking.

They have had 15 games were 15+ total runs were scored.
They have had 8 games where they have given up 10+ runs.
Crazy offense and poor pitching.

By Comparison ECU has (2nd place in most of those stats)
8 games with 15+ total runs.
1 games they have given up 10+ runs

Damn Tulane. Curious what that looks like nationally. Those boys can rake.

Also of relevance is the fact that Tulane's SOS currently sits at 141, while ECU is at 27.

UC 3 UH 2 - FINAL!

I think it's time for UC baseball to be taken a little more seriously.

UC is 8-5 in the AAC.

Even in a non revenue sport we aren't known for, we win in the AAC.

Know your place, folks.

This will be a great series. Two radically different teams.
Tulane nationally is #2 for doubles, #3 runs, #7 batting average.
ECU is #1 for sac bunts, #8 WHIP, #9 strikeouts, #9 shutouts.

ECU dumps UNCW 8-5 at home in a game that had several lead changes. Improves to 30-10. The Pirates travel to Norfolk to play ODU tomorrow.

I see that WSU is in half of those Top 3 categories but has a 20-20 record and 5-7 AAC record to show for it.

Todd Butler can eat a d***.

A series win would really boost Tulane's at-large aspirations, and by extension boost our aspirations of hosting.

I see we fell just a liiiiiiiiitle bit short against school 6 last night.

I guess we have to let them win every now and then to be considered a rivalry.

Baseball America projects ECU as a top 8 national seed (w/ NCSU coming to the Greenville regional), UCONN as a 2 & UH as a 3 now.

Very impressive, lets keep in mind though 14 of the games so far have been against sub 200 RPI teams. A lot of stat boosters in there. In comparison ECU's season has consisted of 4 sub 200 RPI opponents.

I expect this to be a great series though. Considering they got Ole Miss and UCSB at home this year I expect this to be the toughest series Tulane has played all year. Very interested to see how they stack up against much better pitching than they're used to seeing and excited to see how our offense will respond to what looks to be a high scoring series.

They have played the 131 SOS. For context, Houston has played 25. No other team has played above 100, most are below 50.
