It’s one thing to play hard and give a good foul but another doing intentional stuff. They had multiple technicals in the game and this kid got kicked out. Even the coach trying to fight Jans. I get the point to where you guys want to beat us but this is uncalled for.

OK that Levi foul was bad. And never saw Lew Hill lose it like that before.

Before that Levi foul, he took out Ivan’s legs on a sure dunk. As you recall, Ivan was hurt at UTRGV, so now I’m questioning if these fouls are intentional. The refs thought so.

Levi had 2 technicals plus that flagrant 2 that got him kicked out in this game. Luckily no one was injured and hopefully they clean it up. Sure would hate to see any injuries from any team this late in the season.

CBU was up by 23 points with 5 minutes to go, then just ran out the clock. CBU had a guy hit 6 three-pointers and score 28 overall. CBU held the lead for 96% of the game. CSU-B never had a lead. CBU out rebounded and scored more in the paint.

For a 1st year d1 school, CBU impresses me.

They have a good athletic program. CBU currently has the best record in D1 baseball at 9-0. They are the first team in D1 baseball to nine wins. They swept four from Northern Illinois, won a single game from Kansas State and swept four from Ohio. The second best record belongs to Oregon State, the defending World Series champs, at 8-0.

From Aggie Alert, here's each of the tech's from Saturday:

Tech #1. It looked like Jojo was being shoved during transition and he'd had enough of it. Got called for shoving back:

Tech #2. Javon Levi's first on Ivan:

Tech #3. Javon 2 on Queen:

Tech #4. Tyson Smith cheap shots Buchanan. This one was sneaky and hard to see. Glad the ref caught it though:

Obviously Coach Hill has UTRGV playing an aggressive bordering on dirty style of basketball. Their whole goal is to impede the opposition at every opportunity; even when they have clear path to the basket (hard foul). However, some of those fouls border on being dangerous; hence dirty play. The Vaquero players don't like the fact that our Aggie players are a step quicker to the ball/basket and are more fundamentally sound with their execution.

UTRGV has taken to a CSU-B style of play to become more successful it seems but I haven't seen much of this style with any other team outside of NMSU.

Exactly the truth, they don’t play like that with any other team. Bakersfield plays like that with everyone from us to Chicago St, that’s just their style. Bakersfield is a more of a rough you up, get in your head type of play but yet they’re not trying to injure anyone. Valley just plays straight out dirty against us, like intentionally doing cheap shots like if that’s the plan. Watch them close they’ll shake hands for the dirty plays. That one kid knew exactly what he was doing to Queen as you can see him get up and walk straight towards the bench shaking players hand for what he did. If it was a hard foul he would have not walked off like that, he knew what he did was intended

Nmsu rubs Utrgv the wrong way apparently. The only one that shouldn't have been done is the one on Queen. Everything else is just hard fouls or light pushing. You all sound like we're 80's Detroit pistons dirty lol.

Three technical's, one ejection, your coach going after our coach/players and questionable shoving against Zamora causing him to shove back and get a T of his own is just "hard fouls or light pushing", huh? The videos are there for all to see. I guess we can all form our own opinions...
