Don't expect it to get much better. CUSA is currently the 12th ranked RPI conference, one spot ahead of the Southland Conference and 2 spots behind the Sunbelt:

and the last 2 nights CUSA teams went a combined 5-9. ODU and UAB had good wins over favored opponents along with us winning (which is always the biggest plus) but it was pretty ugly for most everyone else. Last night Marshall lost 15-3 to West Virginia, FAU lost at home to Miami 16-6, and FIU lost 11-6 to Florida Gulf Coast. Tuesday night saw UTSA blow a 3 run lead in the 9th and lose in extras while La Tech lost at home 9-4 to UL Monroe.

Current RPI rankings of our remaining conference opponents:
171 UTSA
180 Marshall
197 FIU
162 Charlotte
210 MTSU
102 FAU
155 Rice
173 UAB

There are about 300 D1 baseball schools, so all but 1 or our remaining conference series will be against a team that is currently ranked in the bottom half of the nation. TTT

Looks like it's either win the CUSA tournament or get 25 regular season CUSA wins OR my opinion and do both

There was a time when this was a decent baseball conference. FAU, FIU, and Rice were all solid programs that are now mediocre.

I expect Rice to bounce back quickly with their new financial aid policies. It'll be a great advantage for them over schools that have to stick with the 11.7 limit.
