RE: ALL TIME TIGER TOP 10....
Lawson or Rose don’t deserve to be there.

Sounds to me like you are saying Vaughn was the better player.
Penny + Vaughn = Elite 8
Penny + no Vaughn = Round 64
Ren + Vaughn = S16
Ren + no Vaughn = Round of 64.
Hmmm.
I know you're just being flippant, but Penny was the star of a talented team in 91-92, a team that lost a starter and key member in 92-93. Ren's first year overachieved, and his second year peaked at number 3 in the country but slowly faded after that. As a side note - I would not put Lorenzen in the top 10. He was awesome, but he had Garner, Ced, Michael, and Mingo to help on offense.

I thought long and hard about Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie @ #10 but gave the nod to David Vaughn. Shout out to Joe Jackson here too, the young man was fabulous. I will always wonder what might have been if:
David Vaughn isn't injured
If:
Sylvester and Marvin aren't rooked out of their college careers for 500 bucks
If:
Dana Kirk didn't have the side issues
And lastly..yes..if:
Gulp..if X had stayed here. Calipari likely would have won more titles here than he ever will at Kentucky. Short sighted sell out.
These are my top 10 and I'm leaving off some great ones but I believe these 10 to be perhaps the most talented Tigers I've seen in person.
I have a feeling we have a couple potential top 10s either on or joining the Tigers next season.
But then you're leaving a CONSENSUS ALL AMERICAN in CDR off. See how hard this is..lol A better list than mine. Would stand up with anyone's. I think if you could interview any basketball coach or sports writer who knew anything about Tiger BB you'd have to say these were the best players. I just watched Andre Turner in the '86 last regular season game against Louisville at Freedom Hall. I'd forgotten how good he was after not seeing him play in over 30 years. He had 18 points and 6 assists. No Tiger guard ever played a better game. If I had to make the list over I'd would have made it 15 because of Carney, Andre, Tyreke, Vaughn and Will Barton. There's just no wiggle room on that list. The list has nothing to do with deserve, how they left, one and done, none of that matters in who were the best players.
Rose was a No.1 draft pick, Rookie of the year in NBA, But then so was Tyreke which is why I say your list is better than the one I posted.
The only two Memphis players to do that. That would never have come about if he wasn't one of the best 10 players who ever wore the Tiger uniform.
I think Bat Man was one of the best Tigers ever but couldn't find a place to root out someone. There's just too many great Tiger players to compare them. Just one opinion which is as good as the next guy's. There's no winners or losers. Everyone has their favorites which is why I suggested everyone make their own list. It's brought back memories of great players, stats out the wazoo and a general great feeling as to why I'm a Tiger fan and have been for 60 years this year and couldn't root for anyone else if I tried. Watch for my list in 2029. I'll be 82 and still rooting for the Tigers. "And that's all I'm gonna say about that". I've said enough.
