About to get swept in a four game series by a team that was DII last year. The games, for the most part, haven’t even been close.

I thought about driving out to Riverside from Orange County to catch the game. Glad I didn't. Cal Baptist made the leap to Division I wrestling this season too. They must have some deep pockets because that's a very small school.

Team lacks talent all over the field in comparison to most other teams. Facilities are a complete joke compared to other schools in the state not named Western and most of the schools in the conference. That’s where I will draw the line defending the program.

I still support them but for the last few years this team has been a quite mess. Again nice guys on the staff (we might have the nicest coaches for an athletic department in the country) but for a mid major they haven’t moved on to that next job except for the GA and that’s suppose to happen and when Carlsen was the director of operations.

I can’t even imagine recruiting with that facility. It is far worse than most of the high school facilities in the Chicago area. I mean it doesn’t even have any restrooms for fans (and NO, porta potties do NOT count). This team is not going to win many games.

It is a complete joke of a field. I didn’t even consider the restroom situation. It has no beauty to it. My eldest played a high school game there and many said the infield itself is worse than some high school fields.

The dugouts are wide open with zero protection but that’s probably because they sit 60 feet away from live play.

And the damn thing was originally built facing the wrong direction.

Have they even changed the bulbs in the scoreboard lately.

My guess is they don't want to put a dime into the stadium if they don't have to, as they plan to move it eventually with the "master plan".

If there is to be a sport that is dropped most likely baseballnis on the short list. No sense throwing $ into a program that sits on prime territory for football expansion I some capacity.

Baseball already has been dropped once, in 1982.

With our athletic budget is where it is right now, we can not have FBS football and be very competitive in basketball or baseball. Think about this, our athletic budget is LESS than FCS football playing Illinois St. Not to mention, 11th in the MAC.

All the more reason why I like to go out and support the team. If only it weren't frigid still in March into April.
