85%
Our seniors accounted for 85% of our scoring tonight. They accounted for 87% of our scoring a few games ago. Wiseman and Jefferies are good, but we are in trouble next year without another guard (either a recruit or transfer) and if Harris continues to be nonexistent.

RE: 85%
Until Lomax and Harris realize that their value to D1 hoops is the ability to blow past a defender and hit a running floater, they will be insignificant. Taking it to the rim is of no value.

Stats aren’t BS. Teams are going to pack down low next year, deny the post, and dare Harris and Lomax to hit.

They are not the only guards we have for next year. And I’m sure we will add a few more.

The guards, whoever they are will have a much easier time with our inside game next year. We already have one big wing coming. DJ.

I’m not aware of any college team that has ever had freshmen account for 80% of its scoring.

Freshmen bigs also tend to get into foul trouble. What do we do when he’s on the bench?

Even if he puts up Anthony Davis numbers, we still aren’t close to replacing what we lose.

We need a grad transfer and for Harris to wake up in the worst way

You’ll see a lot of zone and double teams. We need a true scoring threat at guard to open things up for the new guys. And when Wiseman is on the bench. we have to rely on Maurice.... There will be growing pains. It wouldn’t surprise me if we are a bubble team next year

Talent level will increase by about 85%. We'll be fine.

I’ve never seen this happen before in the NCAA— even with #1 recruiting classes. That’s a tall task.

Not worried.

Martin will be missed. He also will not be scoring 30 every game remaining.

This has been gone over many many times.

With even one more solid guard recruit, this team will have a better player at every position in a 9 man rotation next year except one. The net will be better.

And no two players will improve more than Harris and Lomax.

I'll try to simplify. The guys that score 85% of our points next year will be more talented. there really isn't a way to measure talent by %. Just making a point. We'll be better.

Next year's team will be completely different. In every way.
This year's team is dominated by guard play. Next year's team will be dominating inside which will open it up for the guards.
Sure we can use more guards for next season, but Harris and Lomax will be better and so will the talent level, especially in the paint.

The level of panic on this board is crazy.

The game is too fast for Tyler right now...he's still trying to do high school things....that should get better. Lomax is starting to look a little better. If they can both work on their floor game...don't need to score much. I hope we get Baugh...can't have enough guards.

Zion and Barrett graded out a little higher than Lomax and Harris.

We have only 8 real players right now given the issues without Jones. Add the ups and downs of the other freshman and Maurice and it’s evident why we are so senior dependent

RE: 85%
Alex is starting to flash his mid range game. He spun into a beautiful 15ft jumper today that looked more pure than Tyler’s shot. I truly believe it’s confidence with the freshman. You see it in their body language. I think Tyler will be deadly when he develops that 2-3 dribble pull-up inside the 3 point line.

Love Jeremiah, but he’s not a true PG. Baugh is a true point, sometimes the ball gets sticky with Martin. This team will excel with a true distributor and our overall balance of inside / outside scoring next year.
