I'm disappointed that we allowed 8 points. Would've liked the shutout.

39-8 at the half!

Wow!! WTG!

Play-by-play after the Owls's last made three: "The Owls are actually cold from downtown today, but it doesn't matter."

The scary thing is that as bad as the two Florida schools are, UTSA might be worse (although I thought they had one decent player when I saw them at Tudor earlier this year). UTSA lost to both of the Florida schools on the road a week ago!

Outstanding! Wish the ESPN stream was performing as well as the Owls...

CUSA/Rice charging $10 a month for their streaming service is shameful (unless it's just mine today). I can't watch 3 minutes of game time without it having to buffer.

Its not you. A person with an iPhone, a stand and a Youtube stream could produce equivalent, if not better, quality.

Conference USA --> Routinely reminding us that the Brits got the system of relegation right.

47-16 now.

F_U's lowest point total this season was 38 (against UALR). They are well on pace to crush that.

52-21.

9 minutes to go to hold them to less than 16 more points. Haha

Apparently CUSA has removed 3 seconds in the lane from the rulebook.

Psych! CUSA doesn't have a rule book.

57-32. 2 mins to go.

Not kidding, I'm down to 1 minute of game time -> 30 seconds of buffering -> refresh and repeat. The NEC has a better streaming platform.

Rice wins 63-35. Reserves played basically the entire second half, coaches clearly told the offense to take the foot off the pedal. Oddly, FAU was pressing down 30 throughout the entire final quarter even though we pulled our starters way before then. Not quite sure I understand that.

Nice hustling defense on the last possesion to make sure FAU stayed at 35.

Impressive. We're still hustling 45 minutes after the game is over to ensure FAU doesn't score any more points. Now that's defense!

BTW we were tied for 13th nationally in scoring defense entering this weekend. We should be in the top 10 now.

RE: FAU @ Rice WBB Saturday game thread
Marshall's women just beat Middle Tennessee State 59-53 on the road!

Rice has clinched a tie for the regular season title and is the #1 seed for the conference tournament!

ETA - Rice has two NCAA tournament appearances in its women's basketball history (both while competing in the WAC). In 2000, they won the WAC conference tournament title after finishing 10-4 in the regular season (3rd place). In 2005, they won both the WAC regular season and tournament titles. This will be Rice's first CUSA regular season title (or co-title currently).
