Think Athletics will learn from this? I doubt it. Probably no more bobbleheads, and I will be back to being the first in the parking lot again.

I got there at 12:30 and the lot was not filled. Buying a ticket took about 3 minutes and the line to get a bobblehead was about 30 seconds. Were we at the same game?

You should have been there at noon to be part of the crowds. You would have enjoyed the experience.

If the parking lot was not full at 12:30, that proves that most of the morons there at noon went to pick up their eBay inventory. I hope those idiots bought lots of tickets hoping to fill bags with the bobbleheads, because it didn’t work. There had to be a person with each ticket. One person, one ticket, one bobblehead. NIU handled this brilliantly.

If NIU does this again, I hope it does lengthy advance planning and shuts out these people.

In this case, I think people just bought the $5 general admission tickets. Just like buying the bobbleheads for $5 and selling them for $35 + postage.

The price will be dropping next week. Supply and demand. Only 3 sold in 24 hours.

I had thought about buying an extra ticket to get another bobblehead. Then I could have offered it for $5 to somebody on this board that wasn't able to go. Never occurred to me at the time that people would go there just for the bobblehead.

You were wise to save your money for the next bobblehead. As I told you on Saturday, the next one will be me in my birthday suit! It has a special double head bobble that will be the rage. I expect the lines to begin forming several hours ahead of opening. NIU will be able to charge $20/ticket, and people will still be clamoring to get in and grab a bobblehead. This will be the biggest promotion ever! And, of course, the sponsor will be the shuttered Paperback Grotto. Note: This is NOT a toy for the kiddies or for those easily offended by nudity. But, for those of you who would enjoy something nice to play with, can't get much better than this!

Are we supposed to bring them to the basketball games and rub the belly for good luck?

Well, something like that.
