Baseball season started with a 3-0 loss to Dallas Baptist University. Had more errors (4) than hits (2) today.

Back at it again today at 3 p.m. Eastern. I like that we're playing a national power right off the bat.

Dallas Baptist is no pushover so there a tough team to start the year with. Let’s see what they look like by game 8 or so.

Well its mercifully over as that universal juggernaut Dallas Baptist wraps up a three-game sweep. Can’t remember such a bad start to the season. Eight errors in three games and outscored 19-5.

We will be fine. Starting this season against a national power teaches us where we need to improve. I could be wrong but this is probably the first outdoor work our guys have had this calendar year.

DBU is a very good program. Perennial NCAA tournament qualifiers.

So are we?

Just lost to NC State in the 11th inning on an infield pop up. Scored two early runs and then did nothing the rest of the day. Three more errors and should have been four. 11 more strikeouts.

Three new starting pitchers and four new faces in the lineup. It could be a down year. Today and tomorrow we are playing a couple more Top 25 teams.

Finally won. Beat Michigan St. 12-2. They have a poor record but at least we beat a Big 10 team.

2nd win of season is 9-1 victory over Charleston Southern.

3 in a row. 11-2 win.

We didn't beat just any Citadel. We beat The Citadel.

4 more errors. Lost 6-2 vs WVU. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

#FlytheFlag alert. Flashes sweep Northwestern, but lose one to mother nature.
