'I'd take the wall down,' says Beto O'Rourke of current border barriers
Geez, what happened to normal Dems? This guy is a clown.

Beto O'Rourke said he would take down existing walls and fencing at the U.S.-Mexico border if he could.

O'Rourke, a former congressman for El Paso who ran a high-profile challenge against GOP Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, said in an interview with MSNBC's Chris Hayes on Thursday, "Absolutely, I'd take the wall down."

His comment came in response to a question posed on Twitter by Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas. "If you could snap your fingers and make El Paso’s border wall disappear, would you?"

Crenshaw said in his post that fencing and other border barriers have caused illegal crossings to drop significantly.

They are all over the place now. I thought walls didn't work. But by all means let's spend a ton of money to tear them done. One thing no one can argue about Trump. He has exposed the Left in this country. They no longer can hide what they "really" want to do.

They are the product of the pseudo intellectual public education system which is amplified by their 4 year undergraduate work through carefully selected biased materials which are taught by former graduates of the same education system. They don't reward critical thought but do reward those who spew back the mantra.

That's why there seems to be so many coming out of the woodwork. Defective data input leads to irrational conclusions. Welcome to the "Brave New World".

Saw Beto last night at the Willie Nelson concert here in El Paso. He seems like a nice enough guy in person. Got a picture and talked a brief second about his presidential ambitions. Was non-committal.

By the way, he was a crappy city representative back in the day

Worse yet, they are absolutely scared crapless by anyone who challenges their far left preconceived notions---to the point where challenging these notions might just get you labeled as "dangerous" and kicked off campus.

While I think it's ridiculous to take down walls that are already up, the title of this thread seems a tad misleading. The comment in the OP from Beto was a reply to a question about the El Paso wall, not all current border barriers.

His stock is crashing. This along with that naive attempt to go head to head with Trump in El Paso will mark the beginning of his downfall.

If he's willing to take down a wall that borders one of, if not the most dangerous part of Mexico....

why wouldn't he everywhere? BTW a wall that is working about as well as anyone could hope it would. For what it was put up for.

Fox News contributor jason nichols (alt-left) just suggested the same thing. Matt Schlapp just lol'ed and said "Yeah, you run on that."

It's INCREDIBLE the position that dems have backed themselves into, to avoid having to agree with Trump on something.

See, even I told you that. He was a worst representative too. All he does well is talk up a good story and ramble on like he's drunk and he does that well with his mannerisms. Even Mussolini talked less with his hands than this joker. But what can we expect from Demons look who they look up to, none other than AOC. Wow, talk about idiots following idiots.

When he tears it down, can he please be standing on the Jaurez side of the wall while he is working to get it down? If he survives a few days on that side he would probably have a change of heart about taking it down.

Well, good to know this potential Dem POTUS nominee is on the record for open borders. Trump would have a field day with that.

Quote:O'Rourke said fencing has forced migrants to the most inhospitable areas of the southern border, "ensuring their suffering and death.” More than 4,000 migrants have died as a result, O'Rourke said.

"They’re dead, over the last 10 years, as we have walled off their opportunity to legally petition for asylum to cross in urban centers, like El Paso," O'Rourke said. "To be with family. To work jobs. To do what any human being should have a right to be able to do."

Put a fork in this dweeb, he's done. DONE. When someone says something this ridiculously asinine they are only doing so to keep their faint, flickering Bic lighter strength, beneath-the-Antarctic-Ocean-ice light hope of a 2020 run alive. Quite frankly, I'm surprised this guy gets any press at all.

BETO pulling numbers out of his Butt-o rambling the wall in El Paso cost tens of billions to build and more to maintain, oh but he's fine with $100million for additional food, water, and baby formula for illegals detained at the border. I guess he's also okay with $200 for "welcome centers" to process illegals once they cross the border.

What a nut. Seriously. They abandon ALL common sense to simply go against the grain on anything with Trump. He could suddenly tout global warming is the greatest threat to everyone and they’d be back to teaching and warning us about the coming Ice Age.

He has a long list of achievements and agenda items that pretty much has placed duct tape over their mouths. So, they're cornered in the extremist of places to try and make a counter-attack. It's quite striking to behold. The bottom line is, Trump has a strong economy to take into the 2020 election. There's no way around that one for the DEMS and it resonates with the majority of American working people. BTW, has anyone heard a peep from Putin lately? How about China? ISIS? [crickets]
