I hope they prove me wrong.

Unfortunately, I have the same feelings. If we go 1-3 like that, I think it might take us winning the NCHC tournament to get in. A win over St. Cloud would be "pairwise gold" and get us to single digits. And.....going 1-3 could put us on the road in the first round.

As far as kids leaving i was thinking it was more M'Ging and Allison would be leaving and less but entirely possible Sammy as well . Could be one other as well , he had the chance to leave last year as well but came back .
As far as the Allison injury goes iv'e been told he has tendonitis in that knee and it ain't going away till summer . it limits him from even practicing if he plays on weekend so his conditioning is really poor . Was told the injury is healed but it is like trying to play tennis with tennis elbow was the way it was described to me .
Also i am not on here to trash A.M at all , he has built a good program i was simply stating i would like a younger more progressive coach given the choice , if you have a different opinion that's just fine by me , i was just stating mine .

The only thing that we can hope that goes in our favor is that 1. We are home (where we have played well for the most part) 2. SCSU just wrapped up the Penrose Cup last weekend, maybe we will catch them at the right time.

Thanks Dude appreciate that . Having had kids play on the team we are a little more in tuned with the program . I have stated that given the choice i would prefer a different coach but do think A.M has lots of good qualities as a coach as well , there's nobody more passionate about the game or his job .As far as the program itself my kid loves it there , they do run a first class org . Says the Lunatics are the most fun and when he has friends come to WMU to play them they say it is the most intimidating rink they have ever played in but absolutely love it as well .
I think we will go a least 2 and 2 in the next 4 but am a little worried in goal , Goursh has been really good for us most of the season and good goal tending is key to a teams success . Anyways as always Go Broncos Go 04-rock

Biggest team to root for this weekend besides the broncos, CC. They have a home series vs Nodak. If we can some how split with Saint Cloud and CC can sweep or at least split with Nodak, that would about secure us having home ice.

That's the funny thing about this site Sup, most people think they know what's going on and we get it or got it first hand from our kids and other kids on the team. AM does bring some important things to the table and he runs a lot of the off ice stuff like a Pro team (travel, hotels, food), but there is bunch he doesn't. My son said the same thing about the Lunatics. My first time there, I was like WOW, these kids are great. Had many friends kids at other schools say, Lawson is tough to play in when the Lunatics are fired up.

I wish the guys nothing but success!

However... Andy is trying to build an NHL pipeline and it is becoming evident... and he's trying to instill the work ethic and necessity into these guys wether they like it or do not... while also holding them accountable scholastically...

Guys that leave after two years will obviously be less inclined to give a rats ass about school... and guys that are looking for schooling are likely going to be pissed about the NHL level expectations in practice and on ice...

Andy has gotten himself in a situation where we either go full on NHL level talent and pipeline VS some guys who just want to play some good hockey and move on to take a WMU degree and live an awesome life... not hockey.

I think that the later is where we are seeing the issue with parents being upset.

Here's Andy's response to his question about being at WMU... could not be more excited.

https://twitter.com/MikeWWMT/status/1100462630559457280

Let me preface by saying that I support extending Murray and I have doubts that we would be able to find anyone better for the program had we decided to let him walk.

That being said I think this post is off base. This program is not in the position to be an "NHL pipeline". Only the highest visibility programs are anywhere near that designation and even then its typically only half or so at most of the players that are NHL draft picks. There just aren't that many that go to the NCAA. On top of that, many of the best performing programs lately only have a handful of draft picks and many players are older, early 20s when they get to campus. This includes WMU, and #1 St. Cloud.

Sending players to the NHL is a great recruiting tool but being an NHL pipeline is not the be all end all at this level. It's likely that juniors will always be the preferred option for aspiring NHLers and unless WMU is able to sink Michigan, UND, Minnesota money into the program we are not going to be an NHL pipeline team. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Ticket sales look good for both games. Some seats left for Friday and about standing room only on Saturday

I have season tickets and yesterday received the order form for playoff tickets - $96 for 2 for three games (or single tics at $23/each. Must be submitted today to retain my seats...….thanks for the one day notice:).

We've had some shaky games in the last three weeks but I'm feeling a little more confident this morning. With sharp goaltending and our guys flying, we can beat anyone. We need to come out like NoDak did in the first period two weeks ago. Let's have a packed house and Go Broncos!

Good point. The NHL pipeline schools (BC, BU, Minn, Mich, Wisc) are the worst performing this year.

I think this is where schools like WMU (and other non blue bloods) can really make their mark. Spend extra here instead of bells and whistles like new areanas. Getting guys to the pros (and overall professional development) plus the travel, hotel, food stuff is gonna make up the talent difference.

To correct an earlier post, Steve Rohlik is the coach at Ohio State since 2013 and with the results he's engineered over the last couple of seasons, he's definitely not going anywhere.
