RE: Houston Baptist
NU lost 2 of 3 at Houston Baptist over the weekend, losing 9-3 Friday, winning 14-8 Saturday and losing the rubber game Sunday 5-2.

LHP Sean Mellen started Sunday and got a tough ND (6 IP, 3 H, ER 0, 2 BB, 4 K) but the bullpen imploded in the 7th with NU up 2-0.

Fr. OF Corey DiLoretto went 5-8 with 3 RBI, 4 R and Jr. Scott Holzwasser went 6-11 with 2 RBI, 4 R.

The pitching wasn’t very good during the series except for a few pitchers.

NU takes on Missouri on Thursday in Ft. Myers, FL before playing the Red Sox on Friday.
