USF beat Stamford 7-4.

As a bonus, our softball team just beat #9 Arizona 4-1.

Outplayed them, should have won by more, but a win's a win.

UL has 3 quality starters. I would be impressed if we swept them.

UC Baseball is UCONN Football. We need to get rid of them ASAP.

We only gave up one lousy run per inning. That's not bad...

Don't think UH has the starting pitching to really compete this year.

One is not a big number. It's almost zero. So Cincy was close to a shutout. Nice work!

I think the millennials would call it "shutout adjacent".

Updated standings right there.

Tulane had to dig out of a 3 run hole to win game 2. They play for a sweep tomorrow.

UC had a 6-2 lead in the 6th, but gave up 5 in the bottom of the inning (including a grand slam). They tied it up at 7 only to lose in 11 innings 8-7.

UH won on another walk off. SP is going to keep us from postseason play but the bats should win us a few games at least.

Giving up 4 and 3 runs is not bad. Against Northwestern State maybe it’s not great, but then again neither is only scoring 5.

When Cliff Godwin first got to ECU he used to say we need to keep the other team from scoring 5 runs and we will win the vast majority of the time. Not because ECU was an offensive juggernaut, but just because 5 runs is about where you’re going to end up a lot of the time.

Northwestern State is a decent team. They were top 100 RPI and won a game at the Corvallis regional last year (sent San Diego State packing)

So we're good enough to win 2 games at a Regional? 03-banghead

I don't follow baseball enough in off-season to know what to expect. My expectations aren't high, probably about what I jokingly said above. Two wins and out at a Regional.

A Super Regional would be great. Been waiting for a CWS berth for a looong time. Been so close so many times...

ECU downs Radford 4-3, to start the season 3-0. Today's game had me nervous.
