OT: You Can't Make This Stuff Up
The publisher of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is accused of going on a drunken verbal rampage in its newsroom Saturday night in which witnesses say he threatened to “burn the place down” and “close the whole paper.”
John Robinson Block, the vice chairman of Post-Gazette owner Block Communications Inc., is facing a federal labor complaint over the incident.

I don't know any employer that would react well to a disparaging sign up about them. I don't know the guy, don't much care for some actions of his paper, wielding it as a weapon and they are hardly investicative but people should be grateful they have a job or go elsewhere or keep quiet and let their representatives do the talking, not posters on a wall, at work. I see this very much like the Kapernick thing: not on work time.
Newspapers are not exactly golden investments and the Blocks are rich enough they could have divested. Keeping it going is keeping those complainers in jobs.
Eh, cat fight. Nothing more.

Somehow I must’ve missed the Blade’s coverage of this incident...

So you're suggesting that Block's reaction was normal? The thing that hit me most strongly in the story is his parenting. That's really unfortunate.
I don't see the analogy to Kaepernick. Kaepernick was protesting something unrelated to his work. The Gazette employees were protesting what they believe is unfair treatment by their employer.

I suggested nothing. I wrote clearly what I wrote.

If that difference is all necessary for boorish behavior to have you come to a different conclusion, it's your opinion. Not for anyone to say is wrong.
