NMSU Facility Master Plan
Well at least there is finally a plan. Let's see if it ever comes to fruition.

RE: NMSU Facility Master Plan
The basketball upgrades hopefully come first. The Mezzanine style is pretty popular right now and its a cool experience for those hanging out in that area. The renderings look great but how can the state ok 20 million to the football program facilities when they have been historically bad most every season? Seems like a lot. I hope NMSU gets all that they ask for but if I'm the state I know UNM will see what NMSU gets and will ask for 3x that amount and will more than likely get it.

And more than likely lose it to fraud.

Something wrong with the one in that picture Dancing has posted 1,174 times and counting? It looks up-to-date to me. Or are y'all talking about football?

The one in the Pan Am wasn't working properly this past season. It couldn't display stats and probably some other issues. I believe they tried to do a software update and it didn't take. NMSU has had it for 13 years.

Women's soccer is also getting lights for their field.

Thanks for the info, and congratulations on having the resources to do it.

We could buy your old one at the surplus sale, except it would be too scary to hang it from 55-year old beams that have survived half a dozen hurricanes. And that people would be bumping their heads on it.

RE: NMSU Facility Master Plan
The PAC center score board is actually the wrong type of score board for a basketball arena. It was designed for more expansive hockey arenas and the scoreboard had to be modified for our use. It is oversized and had to be installed off-center over the court in order to fit the upper rafters. Some reinforcement had to be done in the rafters to accommodate the wench and cabling. Newer basketball scoreboards have a smaller footprint over the court, more upright digital graphics from ceiling to base, are lighter in weight, and have a better sound system. When the current scoreboard was originally installed, one of the old concourse score boards had to remain in place for sometime due to the cable routing of the arena's electrics systems. Modifications had to be made over time. I am hoping to see a more state of the center scorer board with digital graphics ribbons circling the arena in the hopefully not too distant future (a ribbon like what GCU has currently).

It’s old and doesn’t work half the time. I’m not posting it, the pic is just part of my signature kinda like our moderator who has hotties with machine guns in his.
