Sadly Criminal Referrals do nothing on their own if the DOJ doesnt want to do anything. You can be guilty as hell, and even make a public confession... if the DOJ choses not to charge you... you're free.

The rule of law must be enforced by the gov against people who abuse their power or who are politicians that break the law. If the gov doesn't... it breeds contempt for the law and shows that there are two legal systems in our country. One for the political elites... and one for everyone else.

you will not see movement on Criminal Referrals for FISA abuse or any other Criminal Referrals. If it's going to happen it will come out after Mueller is finished digging under every rock....which he most likely has at this point. But no other investigation will take place till it's official. Anything while the loony left and MSM that is still screaming Russia Russia Russia ....

They will say Trump is using this to put pressure on not charging him. It will give the MSM something to cover and point to instead of any charges that comes from this.

I don't know, It doesn't seem to me that Barr is the type to play these games. Seemed pretty no-nonsense in the confirmation hearings.

Also wouldn't surprise me to hear that a lot of this work has been underway by the hard working rank and file for some time now. One thing I DO know, is that the guys "on the job" hate the guys at the top that turn all political and try to circumvent this or interfere in that.

This is beyond Watergate level. In Watergate some clowns on the Committee to REElect the President got caught bugging the hopeless McGovern. When RMN found out about it he was furious. And he tried to cover it up. The FBI refused to participate.

Here the head of the FBI, the Clinton campaign, perhaps the Attorney General, head of the CIA and NSA were all involved. And it wasn't one failed bugging. There has been a massive coverup, aided by Schiff and other Democrats in the House.

There should be serious consideration of obstruction of justice charges against Schiff. He has tried to stop testimony.

I hope you are correct, if this had happen to any President, I would want then to get to the bottom of it...

if they aren't afraid to do this to someone running for President, then elected. How far would they go if it was me or you? Some day I will tell that story because I personally (really close to me) know just how far and dirty they are.

My personal opinion, someone (politician) will get in the ear of the President, and make him believe its best to wait the Mueller investigation, out . Which that shouldn't affect the AG's decision... we all know it can.
