Today, Always A Dragon decided to re-live the famous game where Derrick Newton of Towson punched Joe Linderman in the face, which lead Drexel to an enormous comeback from 16 down in the final minutes.

Of my collection of VHS tapes of old Drexel games, this one was a great catch. Had I not remembered to put a tape in the VCR before going to work that morning and recording the game, this game would have been a lost memory.

Brutal. Glad games do not get played like that any more. I like some physical aspects of the game to come back, but those last 5 minutes were way overboard on what should have been allowed (that weren't called).

Yeah, differently called game now. Gaffney was one of the best I've ever seen in drawing charges. He's get bumped lightly and fly along the baseline like he's been hit by a truck.

I see I got a very brief cameo at the game end positioned next to Scorer Bob McKee, Big 5 HOFer, with his signature red cap and wooden paddles.
