That ot loss to Dallas at home is going to haunt the Grizz for a few years

We still have a 68.8 percent chance of either conveying or moving into the top 4.

Plus conveying next year isn’t that bad if it comes to that.

Just can’t get to 2021
With the Grizzly luck...we pick 8th.

Thing is about next year is that the team could possibly be worse next year and will finish 6th or worse.

Only way we get worse is to deal Conley.

If we luck up and get a nice wing pick this year, keep Conley on board with JJJ and Jonas we are going to be pretty good next season. If not we deal Conley at the deadline.

If we convey this year we need to send Conley on while his value can be maximized and we get a high lotto pick next year, maybe two including our own

This is exactly how they should play it which means they will likely do the opposite.

Wallace is done. So at least we don’t have to worry about us picking someone based off of what their high school ranking was. LOL. SMH Chris Wallace you ruined our grizzlies.

I still think we hope realistically to land Cam Reddish. Too many people knocking his inconsistencies but that is normal for a true freshman. His upside as a 2-3 is tremendous.

We shall see how it plays out. Maybe we land a top 3 pick then it's a no brainer.

I think there are some really good players to be had at 4-8 that can help with the rebuild.

Best case scenario, Kyrie leaves Boston, and Boston decides they want Conley. Who knows...

Bump.

We got our top 3 pick.

Very real chance Kyrie leaves Boston.

Conley is on the table.

Conley is traded to Boston for pieces and 1st round pick we owe plus 2nds.

Grizz draft Morant and a second round pick from Boston.

We shall see.

It's fun to speculate.

Yesterday was a great day for the Grizzlies.

A Boston trade makes sense. Boston could just give the Grizz back their pick (plus maybe a 2nd) and it wouldn't feel like they've truly lost anything. Plus, Boston already has 3 picks in this years draft.

Of course, all that is contingent on Kyrie leaving.

Lots of options on the table. I hope the new Front Office doesn't think that dealing the pick is one of them ...

RE: Update: Race to Delay the Convey
But does Boston just pay Scary Terry Rozier if and when Kyrie leaves?

Problem for Ainge is I don't see the any Grizz trade happening before the draft. So Boston will have used the 3 draft picks they have by July 1st. And then they aren't as attractive as before. Boston now has the 14th, 20th and 22nd draft picks in this draft. Pretty meh.

Any Mike trade has to bring back an established player, imo. Boston would love to dump Gordon Hayward on us - he and Mike have the same contract the next two years. Boston wouldn't give us Tatum or Jaylen Brown. Would you want Marcus Smart in a Conley trade? Another poor shooter?

I'd love Smart to bring off the bench as he is of that Tony Allen mold, but I want no part of dealing with Ainge.

Denver is my ideal team for Conley, but a third team would definitely have to get involved to make salaries work.

Wouldn’t that be crazy if Morant ended up being an All Star? We’ll see if he ends up being on that level, but IF he ends up being anywhere near that good....that’s what we would have sacrificed this year (trying to convey). Sometimes it’s better to be lucky rather than good.

That is all contingent on us actually picking Morant (of course). Lol.
